Want to own the "little drummer boy" and the man who made the "forsythia" the official flower of Brooklyn? Well now here is your chance! The 13 acres of historic in Eastern Brooklyn are on the market once again from its keeper of 40 years, the city of . On record the cemetery dates to 1838 although it may be older as it originally was located behind the Methodist church located on E.92st and Church Ln. The present cemetery is...

I've gotta admit, I'm a sucker for those colors and lines Although we've got now, I kind of wish some of those "Recorded Information" lines still worked. Anyway, I tried a few of the numbers just for fun... Suicide Prevention was someone's mobile voicemail box. Stock Market Prices was a fax machine, World Series was a dead number and Time of Day was a recording explaining that I had reached a non-working number belonging to the US Government...

Southern Comfort Church Offering

From the files... This is the scene at the store on street that I stop at sometimes on my home. The photo is blurry because the old, stern woman who always mans the till was yelling at me for trying to take a photo of it. While she was getting my change together, she was muttering at me to add a little something to the ... Neighborly charity or a guilt-tax...

The gravel was getting increasingly rough and daylight was fading. I was excited to find this stash of locomotives hidden behind the bend of the only service road leading away from the tracks. I was doubly curious, as I had never even heard of the ....

York Minster Environs

author: Jamie : York, UK

I don't contribute much photographically speaking these days. But I was in this past weekend, and It occurred to me that there are 1000s of photos of on citynoise, but I've never seen anything from... umm... Old York. I guess you can call it Old York. It's pretty damn old (Founded in AD 71) York Minster en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York_Minster. Like most Cathedrals of it's time, it's been burned down, otherwise destroyed and rebuilt roughly seven million times, but there has been a place of worship on this site in...
