I took this photo from the window of the bus I was riding in, heading away from Newark Penn Station this morning... the bridge-top is the pully system for the huge series of drawbridges that hold all the train tracks that terminate at Penn Station (and some Amtrak and New Jersey Transit ones that go beyond)...

i was in new jersey once. it struck me as being full of rusted metal train stuff, very exciting to the eye for me, but i had not been liberated into the way of the digital camera yet, so took no pictures. however, i have friends to stay with there, and whenever i can travel again i will, for the rust and the half and half

at the moment i snapped this photo, my bus was waiting at a red-light, pointed almost directly east, straight towards manhattan. if you follow the train-tracks in that direction, they dead-end at the wtc station, though they pass through many tangents and stations before that.
