I've taken to walking along the Lachine canal in the evening in an effort to lose the winter bulges. In some places it's so peaceful I almost forget I'm in the big city. This was taken last night around 8.00 PM with my "point and shoot" Kodak, which didn't really do the colors and mood justice, but anyone who knows the area can imagine how pretty it really was.

Located at the corner of Provost and 11th Avenue in the borough of Lachine is this Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise, with its original signage still intact. Most of them have the modernised KFC (PFK in Quebec) signage. The bucket sign is getting harder and harder to find these days, as well. This one may be rusty, but at least it still stands. web link
