One of the cheapest dives in Center City, or all of Philly for that matter, that actually sells good beer. McGlinchey's was one of the first bars to apply for a variance from the recently instated city-wide smoking ban. Almost everywhere else you can drink and eat smoke-free, yet the cloud still hangs inside the Glinch. Come for the hipsters showing off their track bikes, stay for the 75 cent hot dogs!

Grain Belt, Brain Melt, Fan Belt, whatever you call it. www.grainbelt.com/home.php It's cheap, it tastes good, it's light enough for the beer challenged (Bud and Miller drinkers) and it's made in Minnesota. As you head into Northeast (Nordeast to us locals) Minneapolis across the Hennepin Ave bridge coming out of downtown this is on your left. It used to light up but not anymore.
