Train Derails on Bridge II

Yesterday I went back to the scene of the that happened during Friday's . (See the first page of this series) There were a lot of people there taking pictures this time, and the were all over the place, as was getting ready to attempt to remove the that were jammed between the two tracks of the .

The crane that was to be used for the recovery operation. After a long wait, the operation was postponed due to high winds.

Some of the media that were present at the scene. These vans belong to CTV and TVA newscrews. in the background were keeping people away from the bridge. The atmosphere was that of a circus, with hundreds of onlookers and media all over the riverfront, all with cameras, most of which were a lot nicer than mine :-(

A Radio-Canada/CBC film crew that were trying to interview me due to my knowledge of the winter conditions on the bridge, from the many times I had walked across it. I declined, as there are many others who are much more familiar with this bridge than I.

They have been removing some railcars each day now, but progress is really slow. I went down to take some more pics, but it was getting dark, so the last pic is a bit blurry cuz I used nightshot mode on my point-and-shoot
