Putting the City in Synchronicity Since 1995:

- Peter - Friday, April 19th, 2002 : goo

Sometimes, nature has a way of teaching me how much i can say when i don't say anything at all.

But, sometimes I feel like writing, so on to the meat and potatoes:

I'm out making my usual midnight rounds under a hazy crescent moon; thats how it is outside tonight when the temperature outside is at a record high, new york's giving you a hint about the torturous summer its about to rock you with. yes, so its warm outside, but breezy, one of those nights where you're inspired to stop and say "oh wow, if only every night could be just like tonight" over and over again as you walk around the block. thats certainly what i was doing.

And I was feeling a chuckling awe at how quiet it was, for my city rarely lets itself be silenced. breezy and quiet, passenger jets flying high above, radiating some sort of quiet whitenoise hum that could be called citysilence. some busses passing, a few cabs honking and murmured shouts occasionally ringing out from uptown, but altogether a comparatively placid evening, noise-wise.

Its these odd moments that you remember from past years, and remind yourself to remember for the future; some synchronicity in personal time, if you will. and i love these moments. sometimes, i admit that its these reasons, these moments in time, that are why i love living in this city so much; i just wish these feelings weren't so hard to explain to other people.

But sometimes, I remember that I don't always have to explain. ahh.

Missing Jockeys

I would imagine if you were interested in hitching your wagon up at this restaurant, there are plenty of jockey boys available.
