Jerry: 30th Jun 2005 - 05:19 GMTI see that guy in Baltimore all the time on my way home from work. Gotta love how the internet can make anyone - even a panhandler - into a celebrity. fuzzytank: 30th Jun 2005 - 05:44 GMTas long as they are creative... sure let them get showcased i would venture that he quite possibly has more talent than paris hilton mfmartin: 4th Jul 2005 - 16:34 GMTDoes anyone know when/how I can see this guy in Washington D.C? I've seen him in front of a Metro stop before this summer...I'd like to see him again because he's the man! patrick p: 13th Jul 2005 - 02:55 GMTi see that muther fucker every weekend at fells when i go skate,he is a kool guy
Steph: 25th Jul 2005 - 18:33 GMTCHEF(he looks like chef on southpark)!!!! thats my mother fucking homie! Hes always down fells.. if you want to take a picture of him then donate some money.. it doesnt hurt to give him your spare change. he will be famous Cardboard: 12th Aug 2005 - 23:55 GMTI saw something like this in Oregon August 11th, 2005 off the walker road 217 offramp. Snipe: 20th Aug 2005 - 18:54 GMTDUDE I saw that same guy with the cardboard armor who said that. I rolled down my window and praised him. He was on the corner of walker right? Man that was hillarious. He said "It sure beats watching TV." I was like "YES IT DOES HERE IS FIFTY BUCKS!!!" well I would of given him some if I saw him haha. But this guy was dressed all out in cardboard armor and stuff. So funny! Cardboard: 30th Aug 2005 - 02:10 GMTHaha, I remember saying that, I even had those armor leg pads. Some jerk threw change at me, so I didn't pick it up. At least 13 people took my picture (including cells). H+Jaykay: 15th Sep 2005 - 07:08 GMTOmg, is that reallly asking for money or is he just faking ? I feel so sad ! r r brown: 7th Oct 2005 - 05:16 GMTi saw that guy in dupont circle this summer. he also had a sign on that asked for money so that he could go get drunk and have sex with two women at once. as chris rock says, "If a homeless person has a funny sign, he hasn't been homeless that long. A real homeless person is too hungry to be funny." K AND M: 14th Nov 2005 - 20:01 GMTHe is still hanging out in the city as of last weekend. Seemed like a pretty nice guy. The first sign we read was about the drunken sex with the two women. It was too funny not to stop. I figured at least he was honest. anon (pool-162-84-150-239.ny5030.east.verizon.net): 5th Dec 2005 - 23:42 GMTI saw this guy today at the soup kitchen of the Hebrew Union College. I knew he looked familiar!!! He told me to spread the word. (And he has made other funny cardboard signs) Chris: 23rd Dec 2005 - 02:28 GMTMan i use to fly that same sign on Bourbon street in New Orleans Everynight... mine said Family killed by Ninjas need money for Kung Fu lessons.. exactly.. that guy ripped me off... support me if any one remembers seeing me down there... im suprised my pic isnt on here.. after taking so many pics with people.. but.. that sign is the shit!! maya: 23rd Jan 2006 - 02:25 GMTI met him a couple of nights ago outside a restaurant in Philly. He was absolutely hilarious to talk to. I would have given him a dollar if I had it. Eric: 9th Feb 2006 - 00:30 GMTI saw him, or someone like him, standing around the Empire State Building in New York City.
nick_d: 6th Mar 2006 - 05:57 GMTi bet this dude has a home and family and does it for kicks. i would if i had the time...you'd meet so many interesting people...but i bet the other homeless people despise him.
wewhonotasothers: 9th May 2006 - 23:52 GMTI know this guy personally he is up in New York now... he left baltimore last year some time. I hung out with him almost everyday at the square where my friends hung out. The ugly truth behind this guy is that he is a crack head... he made alot of money and would do coke and herion.... I've seen him do such right in front of me.... however he did pick up some hot girl one night... I'm shocked he's still alive kate: 5th Jul 2006 - 22:19 GMTI saw this guy late Monday night, he told me to google "ninjas killed my family". He talked non stop for 30 minutes, talked about his experiences in jail, mentioned he'd been in Baltimore. I actually have a couple photos of him, with new, improved signs. He got off at 59th street, saying he was going to a strip bar to have a good time. Peter: 8th Jan 2007 - 23:37 GMTwoah, thats definitely the fountain at columbus circle, at the southwest entrance to central park... Brad: 11th Jan 2007 - 04:29 GMTThis has to be one of funniest posts that I've come across on here and keep coming back to. The last picture really cracked me up :) miguel p. from nyc: 2nd Mar 2007 - 11:48 GMTcheck this out - i just saw this guy on w. 137th street in manhattan at about 5:30am at a deli shop and he himself gave me this web address. ha-ha. isnt that crazy??? Sean C Snyder: 16th Apr 2007 - 22:40 GMTI was just in the city this weekend and saw him infront of the park. Had to stop and get photo, Smart guy, thousands of people pass him a day. EvilGentleman: 20th May 2007 - 01:15 GMTI'm willing to bet this guy takes home more money than some stockbrokers do. I knew a guy in Montreal who said he averaged $300 to $400 a day, at a time when the Canadian dollar was worth about 85 cents US (around the late 1980's) So that would be about $255 to $340 in US dollars per day, or about $80,000 US per year. (He usually worked 5 days a week, depending on the weather) Not a bad salary. Now keep in mind, the guy I just mentioned was an elderly man who was polite, but he had no real gimmicks to speak of, and he was working the streets of Montreal. Just imagine what the guy in this article is making, considering his creative signage, and the much denser pedestrian traffic and milder climate of New York. So be careful what you say about him. If he has been investing in the right portfolios, one day, he could very well become the CEO of whatever company you work for. NYCArthur.com: 22nd May 2007 - 01:51 GMTJames usually works till he gets enough money for food, then goes shopping then fixes dinner or eats out. Currently he's living with a "friend" who got a bit loony and is now in Bellview so the Con Edison bill didn't get paid - so he tries to fix dinner before it gets dark.
anon (c-71-197-207-179.hsd1.wa.comcast.net): 3rd Feb 2008 - 21:53 GMTthats hella bad ass thats so funny i would so give them like $20 Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
