brazil was a great trip.. everyone was really nice and fairly patient when trying to communicate in english or just hand gestures with me. the beaches were beautiful and ya, so were the women.. not to mention the delicious food. its definitely not a rich country and stories of police corruption as well as prostitution being legal in bars kind of adds to the level of not feeling like a safe place.

brazilian taxi drivers were absolutely insane, though the lonely planet guide book referred to them as "raving maniacs". pedestrians beware.

In what part of Rio? Favela, maybe.
Why does every tourist is so fascinated by Favelas ??

adam: 14th Jun 2007 - 18:42 GMT

it wasn't a favela.. i think that photo was in santa teresa. how come everyone in brazil gets so defensive? :)
