Central West End

On Friday, I walked around the Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis. CWE borders the northeast side of Forest Park. Central West End didn't suffer to depopulation to the extent of the rest of the City. The neighborhood has a diversity of housing, including expensive high rises, affordable apartments, old large mansions on private streets, and modern lofts.

The Eugene Field School designed by William Wittner (famous for his many schoolhouses) in 1901 is currently being rehabbed for lofts.
