Old Kensington Dog: A couple of points re. the confrontation specifically, and Kensington Market in general:
-The SUV in the photos is owned by the business accross the street, not the "Motorist". His four cylinder smaller car with...... Aaron: This isn't about a cyclist vs. motorist it's about people not respecting their environment. I don't expect everyone to be a big "tree hugger" but just a little common sense and respect is all...... What's Really Going On Here: It's interesting that this is primarily a concerned citizen vs. a s***head matter, not a cyclist vs motorist issue. The reason why it has exploded as the latter is due to the decades of...... EvilGentleman: As a motorist who loves long drives as well as a person who loves cycling, I find the comments pitting motorists on one side vs. cyclists on the other to be totally missing the point...... Sean M: Bad all around.
1) Driver for (allegedly) throwing out garbage.
2) Idiot cyclist for throwing it back at him (C'mon, it's biodegradable, not like a cigarette butt).
3) Both of them for escalating this beyond reason....... Jonesitis: Clearly this is not a case of motorist vs. cyclist. It is a prime example of urban vs. suburban lifestyle. In suburbia, it is OK to disrespect the envinronment, and people you don't...... Jason H : I've done the same thing as Leah before - kind of. I've never opened a car door, but I've absolutely given litterbugs' garbage back to them - and I'll do it again.
I wouldn't open......
