The Big Race
[previous] :: [next]
there they were, the jet and the car both travelling in the same direction and the pilot looks over to the car driver and both make eye connection and both give a nod and the race begins in the first quarter mile marker the car seems to be leading but the pilot moves his stick forward for more boost and pulls into the lead then the driver shifts into a higher gear propelling his car forward of the jet both neck and neck as the jet lifts off over the goethals bridge the driver pressing for more speed as he heads over the driscoll bridge the jet banking for the cape may point as the car driver cruising at top speed makes a break for the chesapeake bay bridge and glides over easily as the jet still climbing for altitude is falling behind as the car streaks through virginia territory and into the carolinas the jet at 33,000 feet is cruising and seems to take the lead and just then power is lost in engine number 2 but immediately jack jumps through the excape hatch which majically appears out of nowhere and climbs out onto the wing with his screwdrive and ratchet wrench from sears to fix the problem in the engine and as he jumps off the wing and is gliding down sees the car on route 66 and glides toward the car and makes a perfect 3 point landing with all four feet that majically appeared to save him in the nick of time. he turns to the driver and, and,,,,,,,,,realizes that he took up all your time for this stupid story.
