Day out
[previous] :: [next]now yesterday i thought i had better go out. i hadn't been eating properly and my only human contact had been through the cyberwall or telphone, which is all good, and where would i be without it, but still. and i was feeling a) hungry and b) lonely and c) not so much stir crazy as in need of physical movement. i have been especially lethargic lately, and although exercise doesn't give me energy in the way that i would like it to, it does give me something. i arranged to meet alistair for breakfast, and we headed off to central hackney to go to a cafe called mess which is a cut above the regular greasy spoon, while still providing the correct breakfast of bacon egg sausage mushroom toast and rather cunning potato chips which have a bit of a roast potato mojo. they also do smoothies which is a good thing too, and vegetarian fry ups. on the way i made al take a photo of a kitty in a shop window lounging on a stack of rice bags to add to this citynoise post about cats in shop windows (among other things) since my camera is sick right now and my phone isn't connective, but his is.
