citynoise indeed. what could be more of a fetish for urban/art lovers than graffiti?!... karma: yes! good! i love how your prints are in black and white. you dont see much of that these days, especially online. you use it so creatively, too. kudos, my man.... karma: its all about the pwoers that be going on a power trip. they think graffiti is subversive, possibly. they see it as a sector where they are losing power over their soverign domain.
im not saying...... hool: hi karma. i'm hool. i live in toronto. i came from ottawa. i work exclusively with digital, and yes, i do all of my own developing (the digital equivalent of a darkroom being photoshop)....... karma: hool- who are you? where are you? where did you come from? why is this photo so fucking good? do you do your own developing? it looks so crisp!... karma: well, i think we should all give you a big hand for this photo, ha ha. er, its nice. a pile of hands from seattle- i love it!... karma: both the bread and the train blur off into the background. left to right. kind of like reading across a blur. i like it.... karma: i like the idea of "playing with fire" in the bathroom!... karma: it looks really cold there.... karma: i really love photos of urban or industrial areas that somehow have no words or numbers showing them, or more importantly, no people. its hard to get such photos in densly populated areas, yes?... karma: there's also a very similar (much older and showing its age) sculpture in flushing meadows, corona park in queens...... karma: oh, and i forgot to mention that your photos are really good, too. they make me want to visit the places you show.... karma: is this some sort of montage or photoshop job? the photo(s?) are great, but its freaking me out trying to figure out exactly how tyhe composition is laid out, there, :-]... Karma: these are really nice. i always strikes me as to how pictures of chicago always look sunny as well as gray, often at the same time.
