 i recall a few years ago. just after sunset. 19th street at franklin street in downtown oakland.1999 i could not get them out of my mind. they have haunted me since i found them in a book and print shop in new york city in 1981. the store was on 9th street i think. i call them the posturban mods. these fellows, without names, only numbers, became for me an artist's inspiration of how creative life could be ..web link..others too were inspired to sing their tune as well
