This post has it all: strange signage, modern redneck outhouses, a gecko and a customary Frederick the Pirate photo (please see my Greece photos for more of that sexy man).

I Went to Florida and Wound Up in San Francisco, Which Is the Answer to the Question

author: jack : Orlando, FL

where in the world am i, in new york? i thought i went to florida. whats wid da "youse guys" crap, i otta slam this guy. ahh, beautiful brown stones on the block where i used to live. why see that handsome gentleman sitting on his stoop enjoying his time in the shade, a real brooklynite. do i see a hilly street in san francisco? yes i do, so the answer to my picture of 'where in the world is jack' is florida and no one said florida but all of you knew it wasn't san fran.

Palacio Nacional Da Pena

author: colavitos ghost : Sintra, Portugal

Forty-five minutes west of Lisbon lies Sintra; a UNESCO world heritage site for it's concentration of absurdly whimsical 19th century romantic architecture. The Palacio da Pena, completed in 1854, is Sintra's (and one of the world's) most flamboyant Romantic works. This photo was taken from the italic textmiradouroitalic text from which the queen would contemplate the palace each evening. Truly the stuff of fairy-tales!
