This picture was taken at the gay beach in Tel Aviv, right to the north of the separated ultra-orthodox beach (fyi, yesterday was ladies day).
The sunset over the mediterranean was amazingly beautiful. A near perfect ending to a good day learning hebrew and exploring the market.
Yet the trail of military aircraft heading north was a constant reminder that all is not well. The people on the beach seemed indifferent to the helicopters and warplanes; they stopped to look at me taking pictures of the sky, but not looking at the sky itself.
