My girlfriend and I took a trip to Vermont's capital city a few weekends ago. Quite a great little place. I can't help but get a good feeling about a town when its public art looks like this:

We were actually a few days early for the fall foliage, but we didn't mind. Besides, great 19th century architecture knows no season, particularly the magnificent Greek Revival Vermont Statehouse:
