 there they were, the jet and the car both travelling in the same direction and the pilot looks over to the car driver and both make eye connection and both give a nod and the race begins in the first quarter mile marker the car seems to be leading but the pilot moves his stick forward for more boost and pulls into the lead then the driver shifts into a higher gear propelling his car forward of the jet both neck and neck as the jet lifts off over the goethals bridge the driver pressing for more speed as he...
