Previous Day :: Next DayMichelle: Great shot! GGP: alas, i was in a bit of a rush...but next time I am in the neighborhood, I may check it out. I'm a little scared of 4. Bell #4, though. aer suzuki: i'm powerfully curious about the hyperspace cowgirls, did you go in and investigate? colavitos ghost: that is one beautiful neighborhood. i never pictured stuff like this in houston. thanks for opening my eyes to a new world. Observer: I'm from England Karlo and You are correct, people here do not care abput loyalism. We think it is stupid that they love the queen because most people in England don't like her. We see loyalists as tattooed scallies who cause trouble lurker: Welcome back GGP! colavitos ghost: awesome! i love skyline shots with a ton of sky like that. nice work. EvilGentleman: Susannah, it's your turn now. I'm afraid of the citynoise servers banning me for being a possible spambot. EvilGentleman: www.peeonastick.com/ EvilGentleman: Also:

www.mnstories.com/archives/2006/ . . . 6/08/food_fun_hot_di.html Susannah: was it something we said? Susannah: Didn't have my camera at the ATM this morning - but the braille keypad has been replaced by an earphone jack. Now thats progress! Susannah: I bet they don't have shark fin on a stick .;} Carol: Dianna: yes racoons tear up new sod because they like to feast on the grubs underneath. Grandfather Time: yep those route trucks have nice colors... Grandfather Time: is that Waste as in RA? Grandfather Time: that little bit over the cab in the second pic justifies my need to see more graff trux!!! Grandfather Time: capslock is autopilot for cool..... EvilGentleman: At this time of year, based on the sunset data available from Environment Canada and a little mental arithmetic, the sun at Broadview and Danforth, Toronto (79°21'W) should have set yesterday in the direction of 284 degrees true, or 7.5 degrees south of WNW. However, it would appear that these... Grandfather Time: that last panel is very pleasing to the eye, even for an american as myself, who has grown accustomed to seeing the style they put forth over here..... the rigidness of that bomb pops out.... JJ: That is pure genius! Grandfather Time: elaine does great, just check out the reflections in the last one, that broken pane of glass look spectacular in my opinion... these are cute =) Grandfather Time: the scene looks desolate, even tho theres a building, and discarded toys... it seems almost somber, and sad, every item on the ground is either discarded, littered, or forgotten almost (the bicycle laying on the ground attests to this). it would make for a tragic b&w.... EvilGentleman: Classic, I love it! Welcome back. Cameo:
Bombs away! Cameo: I'm confused! You say your view is looking north east, but doesn't the sun set in the west? What am I missing?
Cameo: Looks like you dawn cracked more than mine... It was raining down by the lake. Cameo: Cameo: Cameo: Cameo: Cameo: How about a few more?
Lee: I am interested in whether Scott Lake had an augmentation well and whether the sinkholes may have been caused by pumping water from underground aquifers to keep the lake levels up. little ukraine: nice pics, nice pics. i particularly like the first one, and the lift bridge in the third one. i love the faded color prints - i get a really similar quality on my 35mm, and i love it. EvilGentleman: But I wanted to see the biggest pig from this year - on a stick. RobertR: This picture was taken in the year 200o by the way.... RobertR:
Another picture of the bosporus bridge which connects the European with the Asian continent.
This pic I shot out from the car window heading to the bridge. We drove with our Dutch car a 10000 km southern European and Turkey trip.
Tyfoid Kid: Hot Dish on a Stick is Meatballs and Tator Tots, the main components (along with cream of mushroom soup) in Tator Tot Hotdish. I've heard it's less then stellar.
Evil G. I went back to the fair and the pig barn was cleared out. I have a pic of the... EvilGentleman: I am guessing demolished. This abandoned highway looked like something out of some post-apocalyptic movie. aer suzuki: good god, amazing photos. right up my alley too, very cool. aer suzuki: jack's driving. with his feet.
nice photos jack... aer suzuki: i just gotta say, for the sake of general information, that cd planting is a relatively common prankster maneuver, it's been done before. but maybe that's common knowledge, i never know.
having said that, yeah, banksy's brilliant. i liked the guy instantly after reading about his gallery hijinks. thanks for pointing... aer suzuki: beautiful pictures, good to see some black and white, and of moscow, no less. excellent.
grandfather time, are you on a mission to bring up posts from the past? either way, thank you for doing so. Grandfather Time: the first one would haunt me with its reflections if it were b&w..... Karlo: Ok ok,now you ARE funny.
'Loyalists the world over'....
Oh,you mean your support groups such as Combat 18 (for those who dont know,C18 is a 100% Nazi organisation..18 stands for the 1st and 8th letters of the alphabet - A-H..representing the initials of that 'beloved' historical figure..Adolf Hitler)..Then you have that other... Grandfather Time: yes, it is spectacular though, is it not? Grandfather Time: banksy stops the forward motion of thinking with his stencils.....it induces a euphoric feeling to see them......really compels you to rethink things related to his work, or search for your own meaning.... Grandfather Time: where can i find those gloves at? Grandfather Time: the first photo seems warm, very warm, and possibly explosive.....alot of bright amber colors.....the darkness contrasting against them is heavy =) Grandfather Time: Dude in the fourth picture is looking back, probably smiling because he ripped a nice fart, and the guy behing him is choking!
good photos..... colavitos ghost: i'm from cleveland! i took some pictures of mexican town while i was there, too. but alas, i only shoot film and i don't have a scanner. (yes, i know i'm a luddite) colavitos ghost: evilg: i've lived in cleveland for 22 years and your story doesn't ring much of a bell with me either. however, in 1990 i was only 7 years old and i don't remember much at all from those days so perhaps such a highway existed back then and has... colavitos ghost: i think it's awesome to see the word "prominent" misspelled in two different ways on the same day.
also:"questionable"? come on jon---im pei, like him or not, is one of the most important (and recognizable) architects working today.
a final note: just a stone's throw away from that gehry-designed building is... colavitos ghost: the rest of the cemetery is quite lovely as well. buried here, along with garfield, are some of cleveland's most prominent figures. most notably, perhaps, is the towering obelisk at the gravesite of john d. rockefeller--one of the richest men in the history of the world. wish... drea: It's gorgeous. My co-worker told me to come over and see the crimson sunset over the parking lot of the mall. It was gorgeous! So I took a picture, I'll try to remember to post it up. It had a crimson color with a hint of pink. It was so... EvilGentleman: The soot stains from the coal era sure add to the texture of the place. This is the sort of post I love to see. jrhather: Very chic. Lovin the crawls you go on to get the pics jrhather: Um. kind sir, you and i need to go for a coffee sometime.
email me jrhather(at)hotmail.com
i love the urban jungle
jrhather: Tres purdy. jrhather: Love the last one. fanfuccingtastic EvilGentleman: I remember the high ceilings inside that split-level Greyhound station, but that is about it. I know I waited 4 hours for the Pittsburgh bus. EvilGentleman: All I can recall is that in 1990, I was heading into the city on an elevated freeway coming from Chicago while riding on a Greyhound bus. The abandoned freeway was lower than us, and it was on my right. I seem to remember thinking that I probably would not... sela perana: this art work is phatt azzzzz!!!! David:
Here's the Greyhound station. It was designed by Arrasmith in 1948. There are similar stations in DC and Erie, PA. roman perana: this vehicle is the menanest graffity sign useage eva EvilGentleman: Um, would that make me a dick? Previous Day :: Next Day |
