I got off the train and while waiting for the next train, some guy tried to pick me up.. talking about... Tonya James-Rance: The pic dated 23Feb looks like my old church and school St. Marks Lutheran.. Bushwick Ave... Wow!! Troutman sure looks bad.. When I was younger it was much prettier.. Well.. I thought it looked nice anyways.
Whoever runs the school and church now have let it go. Pastor Nordeen was... Tonya James-Rance: Those were the good ole days.. Summer almost over, sO I wanted to make the most of things, I'll post more from this series. But were you calling me Catherine, or were you referring to our other Queens friend, Ms. Penfold Waxman?

Tonya James-Rance: Born and raised in Brooklyn.. Left in 1985 for the military... Lived on Suydam Street and then moved to Harman Street between Central and Evergreen.. Loved that neighborhood. Remember all the game rooms in the neighborhood.. Coming home from school, I would stop off at the gameroom to play pacman..... donna: I have a 6 year old african grey. When he is in his cage he comes up to me and perches on my finger through the bars, holding on with both claws at the same time. He also puts his head down for me to stroke him and... SCAM28: truly a great shot!! Former Salt Hawk: I read this multitude of comments with bemusement, shock and sorrow. I was born and grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas, and, like the old familiar Neil Young lyric, "All my memories are there". It is true that Hutch has a drug problem, but what town in America does... Ducks: where is this in Manhattan? Smudgy: Well, I guess I discovered this site just a bit too late. I missed the walking tour and I missed the show at the BHS. I was born at Bushwick hospital in 1949. Lived on Linden St between Bushwick and Evergreen in my grandmother's house. We... Big Bank Hank: A lot of murals that are seen in estates etc could be seen to be graffiti, If you lived at an end house with a gable wall it was a prime target for terrorist groups to paint their tribalistic messages wether you wanted it there or NOT, You had no... anon (): I miss this place so much. The last time I went back to this was Sep06. I wanna go back to visit this place, again. Jonathan: Some Raccoons just cornered me inside the house when I went for a midnight snack. I'm sleeping out in a detached office. They made a racket and kept hissing and staring at me from outside.
After a while I gathered the courage to do a runner in the dark... chiamattt: great pics. thanks! Hope: There are great young men and women who are rising out of Cabrini Green. You won't see it by the comfort of your Volvo's. You'll see it by actually getting involved in the lives of the kids.
