People should really... jeeff: jake? q? zagg: Frederick is indeed a pirate - please see other Greece zagg posts for further viewing. procyon: yep. and "the Q" (a name I'm still not used to) is in the last. EvilGentleman: My life has become so good, that unfortunately, I have had to give up having fantasies, since they are constantly being exceeded by reality. Such are the prices we pay to be fortunate. I do not have any idea what I have done to be so lucky, but I am... Cameo: just the moon pic... the other two were taken with the 16-35 2.8L susannah: We need to hear from Evil's wife on that one, I suspect male fantasies...well, you know. little ukraine: damn, i gotta make it out there. is that the jake in the first one? Cameo: I use an elderly canon dslr body. That pic was taken with my 70-200 2.8L IS lens. EvilGentleman: I find that Las Vegas is visually exciting, but mentally and emotionally draining. There can be no doubt that the city catches the eye. Everything there was designed to do just that. Las Vegas is like silicone breasts: fake, trashy and trying so desperately to be attractive that it becomes... colavitos ghost : just lovely. i know those views so well, but will never tire of seeing them in photos. EvilGentleman: Wow. Just wow. With all due respect, I have a better idea. Why don't you two emigrate to Canada and run for political office over here? Regardless of your opinions and whether or not I would agree with you, I could respect either one of you, and that is a... EvilGentleman: You're right, I do assume, please forgive me. But you did not say I was wrong... I know my wife would definitely like that one. EvilGentleman: I suppose I should put it in the fridge next to my discount turkey, or in the cupboard with the canned chile. EvilGentleman: Yeah, I gotta admit, I've done Vegas myself, once upon a time. Beautiful place, ugly place, boring place, exciting place, all in one. But I wonder, if all the water lying about everywhere winds up evaporating, does this eventually mean that humans will alter the natural weather patterns of the... susannah: GGP: If he's trying to point out beauty- he should say so. It seems to me he's just trying to portray the obvious. I'd like to put the challenge to him to take something boring and make it interesting. But he won't take it. He carries his bicycle... susannah: Joey - I disagree - I've never been to Las Vegas, so I'm interested to see what its like. Although, I do think the creepy clown is by far the best photo. susannah: Cool colors. susannah: They need laundry, red flowers, and chairs on the right (your left).... Ah thats better. Jamie: is frederick a pirate? procyon: wow, these are great! zagg: Sirhcbre: I didn't know the answer myself, so I researched it (took 2 minutes, go me)
The composers of the song 'such great heights' appear according to allmusic.com to be 'Ben Gibbard, Jimmy Tamborello' --- so the answer would be: Postal Service.
Sirhcbre: Just downloaded the Iron and Wine version. I knew it from Garden State but I just thought it was an acoustic version by The Postal Service.
Who did the song first? joey: when it gets hot in oakland during the summer months- the neighborhood, ice cream vendor trucks play christmas songs to help cool down their customers.
rudolph the red nose . . . . . . zagg: i wish my slumlord would put up that tenant sign on the house i rent at. joey: my ears are still ringing from the last time i saw the ramones in san francisco. joey: aer; the jowly clown WARNING! is a nice shot. to me, the rest of the photos are boring. no offense. perhaps there should be a ban on citynoise.org for pictures of las vegas. las vegas is so manufactured it is boring before you even point and shoot. anon (cache-rtc-ad06.proxy.aol.com): at barnes and noble there is a book on old new york that has a picture of the railyards in 1930 ,s that will show the way it looked back then I dont know the name of the book but I remember seeing the picture Karlo: Volunteer
