in response to Rainy Days and Mondays

hool: i like to imagine that the cab tried to pass the streetcar on the inside, jumping the curb on the island. there should have been cardboard boxes there, or a fruit stand.

in response to Crunch

jeeff: the cab must have been doing something funny because it got dragged into the streetcar-only right of way there on spadina. but to be fair, i've seen both good and bad cab drivers, and good and bad ttc drivers. you can't paint everyone with the same brush. ...

in response to Crunch

hool: we hate cabs when we're not inside them. when we're outside of a cab, we curse their aggressive driving. when we're inside, we curse the driver for not going fast enough, for not making it through that yellow light.

in response to Crunch

Susannah: Well I guess I sort of deserved that (heh heh). But isn't calling scientology a religion taking things rather far?

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

Susannah: Your photos are All great I really appreciate seeing them, especially since I'm too lazy to upload my own!

in response to Pecan Trees in Winter

EvilGentleman: I am now laughing rather loudly. I just figured if it's the time to slap religions we do not like the behaviour of, that I would toss my hat into the ring. Whether my comment stays or not is irrelevant, my point has been made.

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

Susannah: Yes Poutin I wasn't sure if it was Pootin or Pootie or what but I remember it was a pretty big deal way back when. I'm sure McDonalds doesn't do it justice.

in response to Montreal Scavenger Hunt

Susannah: Excuse me Mr. Gentleman - how does this thread have anything to do with Christianity?P.S. Please include Presbyterians and Huguenots in your list of Christians who do not trample on the rights of others. Thank You.

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

EvilGentleman: Wow, reminds me of classic Breakout, Arkanoid or perhaps DX-Ball for some reason.

in response to Bricks Bustin\' Out

EvilGentleman: Hmmm, the daycare seems to have released the kids early today...

in response to Graffiti Above the Highway

EvilGentleman: Perhaps this would be an appropriate moment to mention how much I loathe the damage caused by Christian fundamentalists in North America. Let me be clear that I am not referring to all the members of churches that are considered to be fundamentalist (Baptists, Pentecostals, certain groups of Roman Catholics,...

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

aer suzuki: nice...

in response to Bricks Bustin\' Out

EvilGentleman: I think you are referring to poutine, Susannah. French fries covered in gravy with curd cheese sprinkled on it. Even McDonald's serves it around here.

in response to Montreal Scavenger Hunt

EvilGentleman: I figured as much, jeeff. Thanks for the confirmation. I had noticed that there were two "sam" comments followed immediately by two "EvilGentleman" comments, and then a final "Sam" comment. The big clue to me was the fact that Sam was capitalized after switching back. Obviously his cookie now read...

in response to Hot Air Balloons

autumn: To get rid of the poo, start by getting rid of the source - the racoons. Think. Why are the racoons enticed to your home? Is there a food source? Examine the poo without touching it. What is it comprised of? Does it have birdseed in it? Fruit tree seeds?...

in response to Raccoons, Cute or Dangerous?

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

Susannah: I was SERIOUS I want a picture of that french fry thingy.

in response to Montreal Scavenger Hunt

Peter: im just not a fan of scientologists. i can quote vaguely likminded entries about the canadian pm, shit about the queen of england, slander against bush... sometimes, it pops up. sine is from florida, the jurisdiction of the person in question. i think this is fair game. furthermore, i find...

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

GGP: what handsome, sprawling trees. do you get pecans from the in season?

in response to Pecan Trees in Winter

Cameo: The cabbies' fault no doubt... They are by far the worst drivers on the roads in this city. They are a menace to both cyclist, pedestrian and other motorists. Two days ago a cab almost hit me as I was riding my bicycle home as it failed...

in response to Crunch

jeeff: eg, sam's the one who's been messing with you.

in response to Hot Air Balloons

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

EvilGentleman: Well, I think we also have to keep in mind that you and Peter do pay a signifigant amount of the money to keep this site online, and you guys devote massive amounts of blood, sweat and tears to keep this site running. For this I am eternally grateful, so...

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

EvilGentleman: Now that I see this article, I would definitely have to say this is one of the best hool posts I have seen in a while. The first photo is not a "standard" hool shot, but somehow, that makes it look even better. Your night shots rival groovehouse's, man. Let's...

in response to October 03 2006 Toronto

EvilGentleman: I beg to differ, Sam. There are a great many wonderful and fascinating, and sometimes even outright awesome articles on here by many different authors. But thank you very much for the praise, it is very flattering.

in response to Hot Air Balloons

EvilGentleman: Ok, it looks like someone is making false posts with my name now. I do not appreciate this one bit. Whoever is impersonating me, nice try. I know Sirhcbre IRL, so it will be hard for you to impersonate me for any length of time. The best you can hope...

in response to Montreal Scavenger Hunt

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: The glass would get stuck in my teeth.

in response to Can You Eat This?

Desprate Oct 5,06: Racoons have been pooing on my roof all summer. We've gone on the roof many times to clean it. We've used critter ritter, we've used cyene pepper. Nothing is working. I checked this morning and the poo is back. Anyone out there with any suggestions.

in response to Raccoons, Cute or Dangerous?

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Ha!

in response to Ho-ly Hy-phens!

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I found this thread very educational. Often postings turn political, so maybe it's not bad that some start that way. And I love the new logo. I'm glad you kept the pigeon.

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

Sirhcbre: EG, you should know better than anyone that this is the kind of stuff I live for! This is my life. We should go for another cruise soon. Things have been so crazy lately I haven't had much time to do anything but I'm sure things are the same...

in response to Montreal Scavenger Hunt

Rob: This bike actually weighs less than 40 pounds. It also has no trouble steering. Much easier and sharper than a than a tandem. I ride mine down Canal Street during afternoon rush hour. All over Manhattan; all the time. No problems. But have fun at the circus.

in response to Side-by-Side Tandem Bicycle:

Sis: I looked at the pictures and saw that at least 2 of them were meant to be side-by-side. Here is the merged final image. What story does it tell? The text on the gray wall in the middle says "war, violence, hate".

in response to Airport Scenes 1

Pej: I barely understood what you said the first picture was, but it has nothing to do with toronto?
