All the rest of the pictures are from the igloo that was built there in March 2001.

FromAmsterdam: Me and 2 friends are going to new york for 3 weeks in januari. me and another one are white and the 3rd one is hispanic looking. whe should be allright by daytime in brooklyn right? (the 2 guys im with are big :P) jack: i'd love to see that lamp lit at twilight time. jack: wonderful pictures of the people and the place special to you, in brooklyn all us kids would be in costume and standing in our doorways waiting for the darkness and each one would run out onto the sidewalk and woop and holler and try to scare the other kids, and... jack: great barbara, nice writing, it is a beautiful time of year, in brooklyn in the 40's and 50's the old men in the neighborhood would gather up leaves in piles in the streets and burn them and the smell was spicy in the chilled air, i loved jumping into piles... jack: iceland is green and greenland is ice. jack: reminds me all over again of the protesting of vietnam. Remember, folks were stenciling hundreds of years before Banksy, me and any "graffiti" writer out there, so it has to be understood as a form and function. Some of the best in the world do it. He was chased out in the late 1960s by the street crime and inability to find stable tenants. He took a tremendous loss. It affected him and he left St. Louis...
