Previous Day :: Next Dayhool: unfortunately most cheaper scooters are two stroke engines, which pollute far, far worse than any car. typically scooters are not subject to the same emissions standards as cars, so they can get away with it. vespa does make a clean(er) four stroke engine, and if you have a nasty... Peter: better bicycle gridlock than auto gridlock anyday, if you ask me, heh. i just wish we could have similar legislation here re: scooters so i could park mine on the sidewalk without fear of getting a ticket, as parking it in the street usually means it gets knocked over by... The first sign we read was about the drunken sex with the two women. It was too funny not to stop. I figured at least he was honest. 1,2: put your money where your mouth is, I'll knock your teeth out jeeff: it's all about turf right? jeeff: i do think there's kind of a 'graffiti circuit' too. jeeff: i don't know about other places, but shibuya is about the only part of tokyo that has a lot of graffiti (shinjuku has some too, but mostly older it seems). shibuya is the most streetwise/chaotic neighbourhood, and home to a lot of semi-legal/illegal activities. in most parts of... Peter: its a giant graffiti conspiracy. boring white: I agree with Sad State of Affairs...
Pick up your garbage, who wants to live in filth? or see it for that matter and have their children play in it?

kc: they drink maple syrup??? Wow. Is that hool's secret? does it focus the eyes? colavito's ghost: Anyone know anything about that "Dachsund in a doggy wheelchair" sticker in the second photo. I see them stuck up all over New York and I wonder who's responsible. They're pretty silly, I think. But cool. hool: toronto is very colorful in discrete chunks, mostly in old residential neighbhorhoods. i think that every neighborhood in every city has this intensity of color, i just take closer notice.

It's based on the concept that what keeps us linked to this moment in time are the constant reminders that it's Monday, autumn, 21st century, lunchtime (as in, Time and again by Jack Finney). If you can put yourself into a light state... Jamie: thats what i mean by a citynoise roadtrip waxman-lady. watch this space some one: wtf is purdy??? Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Take pictures! Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Oh bollocks! Ok, so this is Fenris the wolf in the sky over Santorini, taken by Mitch Waxman. Thanks, Beloved for pointing that out. GGP: agree about the rope-skipping.
this is a winning composition, and I love the various juxtapositions of light and dark, and shape, and texture, and being. GGP: cerebellum in the sky. GGP: magnifique! Peter: sometimes you get the best (or at least most novel/interesting) thoughts when youre drunk, you know? ;) Jamie: heh, one of my more eloquent and thought provoking drunken entries! Peter: wow, the payphones look different in canada than they do here.
also: in the above photo of the guy buffing the wall in prep for hool's arrival, i love how the bolts in the right side of the girder he's standing on are painted blue.
