JoeyD: Too many of these types of places have already been bull-dozed

in response to Hotel Deanza

ron: 630 w evergreen dame i love it am going to miss it "blue city 30 block" r.i.p

in response to Cabrini Green [whats left of it]

Nick: I wish these "Protestants" and "Catholics" in Northern Ireland would rename themselves Oil and Water instead, as there is nothing remotely Christian about their ways. As for Unionists, I don't know what your obsession about Britain is, because I live here and the British identity is slowly disappearing anyway. :)

in response to NYC: The Empire State Building at Sunrise

Louie: I loved the article well written and so true. Its to bad NY politicians arent interested in caring for the beaches and they arent cleaned up. A high school extra credit outing of cleaning up the beaches would go long way better still get the useless NY politicians kids to clean...

in response to Plum Beach

omabradshaw: Does anyone have pics of the schools I listed? The old Central Grade school was on 5th street and was tore down around 1960-ish.The Catholic church took the land and used it for a playground for their students.

in response to America\'s Most Boring Towns: 10

Pinky: I luv reading all these wonderful memories everyone has about our childhood neighborhood. I graduated in 1975. Does anyone remember Mr.Tillman? He was a gym teacher. I was in sp 8-BG. One of my fave teachers was Mr.Spurber. He taught science. Looking back, it was the very best of times...

in response to A Rare Ruin in Bushwick

omabradshaw: Hello-I was born at Grace Hospital(8th & Main);went to Central Grade School(it was on 5th Street by the Catholic Church);Faris grade school;Sherman Jr High;Hutchinson Sr. High School.I enjoyed my years growing up in Hutch.Of course, that was before everyone was preoccupied with pc's,electronic games, drugs, etc. It was a small community that respected the...

in response to America\'s Most Boring Towns: 10

Deb Walker: I lived in Atherton Lane (as mentioned before) mine was the second house (19) as you look down the street from the end that Rob took the photo - used to be able to look straight across with no houses in front at all, just overgrown tracks etc. - that...

in response to These Things No Longer Exist

James Mc Beth: I found this page very intersting as I have been doing some family research and have a lot of info relating to Kinning Park. Does the Mc Beth name ring a bell to anyone. Names include Andrew, Marjory Ann, Neil, William. Here's hoping.

in response to 11 Stanley Place, Kinning Park

Rob Tynan: Sorry Anglers Rest!! Rob

in response to These Things No Longer Exist

Rob Tynan: Hi Ron, Here are the pictures I took of Atherton Lane and Anglers Close (Whitefield Street) today. As you can see Atherton Lane is more or less original and Whitfield Street has been redeveloped. Rob

in response to These Things No Longer Exist

Turk: "Flatbush Gardener" you seem intent on dissing the Ditmas Park Blog. Do you have some personal issue with it?

in response to Ditmas Park

Me: I would rather stay in my hometown to eat and shop, because everyday you hear of a shooting or some other violent crime happening in Wichita.

in response to America\'s Most Boring Towns: 10

Montrealbunny: Bwaahahahaha!!!! The best part of this is, from what I can see, there was no easy way for the drivers to exit their cars. Were they pinned in there with no escape from their stupidity? With only themselves for company? Is the guy on the right...

in response to Tight Squeeze

James cashan: sad news regarding the old river, apparently it was reported in the salford advertiser which used to be irlam and cadishead advertiser, that it has been polluted and all the fish have been poisened and died! naturally locals and fisherman are up in arms. Not sure of details and open to correction, think it...

in response to Irlam, Manchester
