Previous Day :: Next Daychelsea: norman is a cool place. you took pictures of the same place like 5 times. you didn't get cool places like campus corner and the university. open your eyes, you'll see that norman is awesome. iggy: it is only a matter of time that you will see that house flat and a three or possibly four family will be in the air. It takes time to research the owners and then to make the buy, but bushwick is up and coming. Armstrong: unrecognizable in a good way of course! here are the views from my new apartment of Maria Hernandez park and Manhattan skyline (taken from the roof looking back towards Troutman St.) Armstrong: I just got an apartment on Starr St and Knickerbocker so I a little bit resent rosecoloredglasse's last comment. at the same time, I'm a realist and yes, that area would be considered blighted by many folks. yet there is a police presence - they just put up high-tech security... wee davie: I was born at 40 Cornwall St. in 1948. I remember well the Kinning Park tube station. It dad a remarkable smell that I loved... fresh, clean. My grampa told me the smell came from a russian tar used to coat the tunnels. Does it smell the same? dave young: my grandad worked at the power station yeas ago i will ask him all about it an let you all no d mccormick: ive noticed the changes around irlam. we moved here in 1968 from ordsal and i dont like the changes that have occurred, like the bypass thats been built as when i was younger we used to go to the locks and play on the grass dunes that were once there... Andrew Smith: That looks a pretty amazing building - I noticed following the link that they intend to have apartments for the over 55's, a health centre and a dentist; in addition to the usual bars & shops. Jamie: no. it's not. Jamie: i was being facetious. ooh. i wonder if facetio.us is available. Jamie:
Same corner of same abandoned cinema four years later.
and again. iman: damn bro, that sucks. the police over there are a lot more strict than here. well, actually, they're not more strict, they just abuse they're authority. in fact, when i was on long island, on my fourteenth birthday, i got arrested for something even more wrong. a bunch of punks... chiamattt: Mayday is the international day of protest. What more is there to say. Police and Protesters. May 1. That's it. I have no idea what those signs say. Job security? NO FTA with the United States? Same ol Same ol. Jamie: nice story :D Jamie: the previous comment? Jamie: Nice photos from an under-represented city. I was in Leeds earlier this year, without my camera and I was very surprised by all the regeneration going on. Not being a fan of NCP cark park charges i parked in an empty lot (i don't care about my car being stolen... VL: So, that's why. I have just been to that store in St Henri yesterday, and thought that it looked a bit empty for that time of the day (10 customers on a Sunday late afternoon?). Not to mention, I noticed they had piles and piles of fresh groceries rotting away... awaken: Any advice for printing large images without going to a printer? rosecolredglasses: While it is true the Bushwick is "trying" to come back, it haas a long way to go. Without a doubt, it is much better than the period of 1976-1994 when you could honestly say it was ground zero so far as crime drugs and violenece was concerned, to... Former Frederictonian: Here, here. Protesting is one thing. But when I drove around Fredericton and saw the same faces sitting down at every different protest, it becomes a joke. But then again, some kids just get caught up in that sort of thing while they are "expanding their minds"... chiamattt: They are not carpets. They are textiles. That shot was taken outside of a large Seoul textile market. chiamattt: It was mayday Previous Day :: Next Day |
