Previous Day :: Next Day

Cesar: Esto es Justo lo que convierte a un loco soñador en un revolucionario de la actitud ante la vida. CON DOS COJONES!! Justo.

in response to Don Justo\'s Self Built Cathedral

GGP: Amazin'! I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see signs like these here in NYC. Sigh.

in response to Anti-Climb Paint

JamJar (The postcode nerd): That looks like Stratford (E15) rather than E7 dear.

in response to on the way to stratford

JamJar: It seems this is a lesson. You show animals alive, I show them dead, you get loads more comment. Bah

in response to hackney city farm

fuzzytank: Sweet i really need a cowboy style hard hat!

in response to Construction Workers #2

kobe: also here...

in response to Anti-Climb Paint

kobe: also here

in response to more signs

kobe: for all our american friends: Anti Climb Paint: Anti-Climb Paint is a thick, non-drying coating for parapets, downcomers, pipes, window sills, fencing and walls etc. It acts as an extremely effective deterrent to would be intruders and burglars by making surfaces virtually unclimable, whilst marking intruders hands and clothing. Coverage is approximately 1-2...

in response to more signs

Peter: all these signs remind me of this post.

in response to more signs

GGP: anti-climb paint--mindblowing innovation for the brave new world. what's next? anti-spacial houses? anti-digestion doorknobs?

in response to more signs

kobe: ahh the chrysler building is so pretty

in response to New York

Peter: nice signs! but am i the only one wondering what is?

in response to more signs

elaine: works for me

in response to Pet Bird Redux

Peter: sticker/label recycling is common... lots of people use USPS/postal labels and "hello, my name is:" stickers, but after those got common and somewhat cliche, people started using seemingly the most random stickers they could find, you know, to be different.

in response to Pet Bird Redux

elaine: does this mean it's dentists bombing your neighbourhood? that's bloody weird

in response to Pet Bird Redux

elaine: i like the layers

in response to Pet Bird Redux

elaine: i went outside to snap the signs on this estate and got carried away../ so more signs on their way...

in response to signs

GGP: recycling mailing labels from UMDNJ--university of medicine & dentistry, NJ.

in response to Pet Bird Redux

elaine: it's nice that there is 2 different kinds of print going on

in response to Pet Bird Redux

elaine: i am interested in how our different countries metabolise notions of 'risk'. frinstance i couldn't get a fish with bones in in a restaurant in california, but driving up the 1 after rain in an open topped car we had to pull over for rock slides on the road. in...

in response to Newark Morning

jeeff: oh i see, it's printed on the sticker. cute.

in response to Pet Bird Redux

Peter: nice!

in response to robot building

GGP: yes, bklyn in the prospect heights area. wish I knew who the artist was. and I am very pleased about the crown. I just hope pet bird lives on for a long, long time. I had a parakeet named Loopy as a kid, so these images evoke a very happy...

in response to Pet Bird Redux

Peter: i know, right? whos genius idea was it to make clear cans? now the garbage will cake up all over the innards and show through, heh. nobody wants to see that, im sure... this points out perfectly the dilemma of american "homeland security"... theyll spend a load of cash...

in response to Newark Morning

elaine: cool. i added to my robotbuilding recently for you BTW

in response to Pet Bird Sighting

GGP: nice bodegas! :) they're really like the town square or the village well for a lot of city folk.

in response to Pet Bird Sighting

Peter: more:

in response to Pet Bird Sighting

elaine: yes. i predict yellow, cracked, scratched tagged and with strange disgusting ketchuppy type smears and things stuck to the inside rotting away nicely

in response to Newark Morning

elaine: thank you for clearing that up - with illustrations, no less!

in response to Pet Bird Sighting

Peter: totally. i thought the same thing when i saw em. theyll probably turn yellow soon, after sitting in the sun. or cracking and breaking would be a more likely fate, what with the harsh winters and such here. ill keep you posted...

in response to Newark Morning

Peter: a bodega is a hispanic grocery... more like a mini-mart. usually open all night, with an atm out front. they sell sandwiches, beer/beverages, a limnited amount of groceries, lots of snacks, smokes, cleaning supplies, etc... theyre not necessarily hispanic, though... its just a catch-all name for corner stores that's sort...

in response to Pet Bird Sighting

elaine: peter, why are they called bodegas?

in response to Pet Bird Sighting

elaine: i bet they are going to age really badly

in response to Newark Morning

sal: the crown is a new addition to pet bird. is it his budgie-sized connection to basquiat-sized art? or is it just cute? yay! prospect heights roolz!!!

in response to Pet Bird Redux

jeff: stencil?

in response to Pet Bird Redux

kobe: this made me laugh!

in response to Subway Cycling: NYC

stillseeingred: you have a great eye man, like the shots, especially the first one. keep em coming.

in response to Construction Workers #2

kobe: eh! you got me! i was expecting something vile and scary.

in response to Drive-by Shooting

kobe: yes, totally scifi.

in response to Bagration Bridge Building

kobe: clear rubbish bins! ha ha ha!

in response to Newark Morning

kobe: nice.... are these all in ? whats the story on this ?

in response to Pet Bird Redux

Peter: i saw some new long, text-only stickers on both washington and underhill this past weekend, but most were torn down or rained off before i could get back with a camera... they said "P E T B I R D '05"

in response to Pet Bird Sighting

GGP: He Is Everywhere.

in response to golden gate ray

Peter: yay robots and sculpture!

in response to Gas Works

Peter: nice! i remember seeing this before. love it...

in response to clockwork

Peter: "no floor"... hah! and yeah, though ive seen plenty of the signs, i never see any kids playing handball. which is sort of too bad. my old place had a sign out front that said "no stickball allowed". very old fashioned.

in response to signs

Peter: two in two days... damn dude, be careful! heh. i used to live in a place like that... always having to call the cops due to whatever weirdness was going on outside.

in response to 911 call #2

Peter: heh! this is classic!

in response to invisible man

Peter: ian: great photos as always... i love the shadowy, almost overcast look to the light, especially in the last photo, that must be a product of working below ground-level... also: workers in cowboy hats- nice!

in response to Construction Workers #2

Boricua BEast: that metal shipping container News Stand isnt on 12th Ave. It's on the Corner of Springfield AVe. and MLK blvd.

in response to Gas Works

elaine: if you like that you would like this www.blacktriangle.org/blog/index.php?p=946

in response to Gas Works

jeeff: this place looks great! it looks like something hayao miyazaki would create (studio ghibli). the robot from the roof of the ghibli museum in mitaka would fit right in the gasworks park. (it's the robot from nausicaa: castle in the sky) the robot - images.google.com/images?q=ghibl . . . &hl=en&btnG=Search+Images

in response to Gas Works

fuzzytank: i did like the first one where the top of the needle refernces the city, but looks like its just another visitor to the park

in response to Gas Works

jeeff: this is the second 911 call i made in two days this past weekend. i've never called the cops before in my life. if i get around to it, i'll post 911 call #1 later, as a prequel a la star wars.

in response to 911 call #2
