Previous Day :: Next DayRob Tynan: Hi Bob,
Is there any chance you could put some of your memories eg the Bobs Ferry accident and your recent account about the steelworks onto the oldirlamvillage.atfreeforum.com
We are trying to build the forum up into a one stop resource for the history of Irlam and Cadishead.... Deb Simpkins (Massey): Hi Uncie Cyril,
mum isn't sure which picture I have posted, but thinks the lady with nanna may be Alice not Edie... she said Ellen may know. Does she also have any idea who the children are?

A Dr Walker had a practice near Albert Street Cadishead in the 1940s and 1950,
(he delivered me) after that I remember a Dr Laurie, then a younger Dr Walker.
They eventually moved the practice to Irlam near where LIDL is now.
About 1961 I... baybelle: It must be the name... I grew up in Salinas, California. More people. Every bit as depressing. Keith : DO you have a son whos name is john? mr smith. unitaz one: im feeelin THEM METRO pieces!! BAD ASS ARTWORK!! Props

i think you have the wrong Mr Smith. if you met my father some 15 years ago, you must be a medium,he died in 1963
also i have never been involved with the Pearly guild.
my knowledge of... Rob Patten: Just to add there are photos of the refurbished train on the Cadishead Way bypass on the Salford web site:
www.salford.gov.uk/business/desi . . . y-stage-2/cws2-photos.htm
Under 'Photographs 2005' the second and third links show it in its new paint.
There is also a site dedicated to loco trains at:
www.martynbane.co.uk/peckett/locos.htm
With 'before' and 'after' shots of the Irlam/Cadishead train.... Belleville sucks: It looks like everyone in the population of Belleville have posted their whiney comments. Seriously, the place has less than 3,000 people. It may be a good place to "get away from it all". But the job opportunities suck for most young kids. Also, this is the type of town... jazzartsounds:

There was a reason it was named as such, because that piece of ground they were built on and the land stretching back to where it meets Boat lane, has only a couple of feet of soil on top, then you hit this huge bed of clay.
To give... Travis: Just a personal opinion for all you "better than everyone else" city types. I grew up in Belleville.
