Nairi: I think it's the red. elaine: yeah, menacing.. elaine: nice. i'm loving 'lounge' elaine: history man elaine: crikey. i hate crashing cars GGP: ah yes! somehow, in first looking at your original image, I missed the hatchling part and saw only the text. a match indeed. thrilling! Nairi: I'm glad you posted here! Again, wonderful pictures. you rock. btw this is moderneye from ap. Peter: theres just something that looks hell of foreboding about that shot... Peter: that last shot is wonderful! wow! green and urban. pretty city. Jamie: Mundian to-butch-ge! Please excuse my piss poor punjabi Peter: i think thats cause of the camera flash, heh. Bird lover: Check out the shine on that shiney pet bird sticker, It's really shining! ea: that's a pretty hard looking "I love you" sign in the third pic :D Peter: the met entrance from above:
ezekiel: those are some lovely plants. its funny lookin how the flag seems to be comin outta the guy on the left's face Laura : The MET is fantastic- its right down the street from me, and when I was little my mom would take me there every month or so to philosophize about the art (I was about 6). Then I read that book about the little girl who ran away and lived there... ezekiel: they have some other djs at soda that are ok, like as in they play tunes suitable for drinking beer to and trying to talk over, but when i see that dj in the photos there i know its gonna be a real good time. im glad to know he's... DJ Shuffaluffagus: Hey you all are really nice, weather you want to fuck me or not, But Let Me give a shout out to the long haired blond brother in picture #4: DJ TRACKSTAR You Fuckin Rock! Keep it uppin.
See you all on fridays or saturdays @ SODA. ezekiel: thats hot Peter: you gotta love it when you request devo, ludacris and front 242 and he, of course, has all three...
and yup, thats the very SODA bar in the photos...
for those of you playing along at home:
brooklyn.citysearch.com/profile/ . . . brooklyn_ny/soda_bar.html Jamie Gertz: Is that the guy who plays at SODA bar? I like the music he plays, my friends and I danced all night, He is actually pretty cool about taking requests so long as you don't constantly bother him (personal experience).
p.s. I don't want to fuck him. Peter: i was pretty partial, myself, to the indian dance-music that had the sample from "knight rider" in it... beeee-yotch! Michelle Markowitz: That Dj Is Hot! He plays the coolest shit. Last time I saw him he was mixing another one bites the dust with White Horse! Man I'd Like to Fuck Him! Peter: being curious myself, i dug back through the old posts and found the first pet bird post i made... looks like a pretty close match.
then the image you posted sealed it... same font/bird-character:
yay sleuthing! GGP: either the bird person is doing this or someone else is picking up on those labels and going graf. interesting, whatever the story may be. Peter: pretty. these make me feel calm and quiet. Jamie: cheers, i'll try'n grab some photos of the graf and pasteups round there kobe: that little blue ford is a silly looking car. is that a fiesta? kobe: SPOT ON! loving it, jamie! more more! kobe: have a beer, m8s. this too shall pass..... cheers. kobe: the bird man is taking a step up in the world, hmm? thats so new york, to do graffs in cold, grayscale colours. Peter: nice. this reminds me alot of hool's work. right on! Peter: they even had cops and bomb dogs dispatched to newark penn station today, i suppose in case of copy-cats:
Peter: it is with sadness that i must report back that the above wall has been buffed. the exact spot where the UTAH piece was now looks like this:
Peter: yeah. a cop, standing on the corner smoking, shooed me away when i tried to get close enough to see if there was any blood on the inside. i asked him if it was allowed to smoke whilst on duty. he went inside... but kept watching me form the door. Peter: as a volvo driver, this post makes me sad... heh. Jamie: messy eugene coyle: ex pow ceis fada elaine: as they say Peter: heh. reminds me of the abandoned lunch series. Peter: sine and i were hanging out in chinatown that day, eating veggie dimsum. i think she took like 200 photos that day :) Peter: hahahaha, the fake dogshit is deserving of its own entry!! elaine: zacly Jamie: honour amongst bombers. you have a point though. equal disruption could equally be caused without the deaths of countless civilians. makes you wonder at the motives of such people. This totally isn't the way to go about affecting change in society for however noble your cause. Peter: lol, jamie!
btw, thats a classic haiku from back in the day for those of you who dont know it...
www.swinney.org/journals/article.phtml?id=1714 elaine: people are getting sentimental about the days of the ira - they used to phone in a warning so they only damaged capital and morale - this is a different register Jamie: totally...

www.graffiti.org/dj/ja.html
a good read all through. but i was pretty boggled by the drugs and violence. i understand that graffiti is somewhat about disenfranchisement, but do so many scenes have to boil down to drugs and violence? i'd rather try and lead... scripps-howard: tsk tsk. D.G.K: DALLAS GRAFFITI KINGZ we up and we aint stoppin. best of broward: buk 50,NERD,cream,Siner,7s crew,doZE Ynot KeAp Most Skem Crook ACT crew, PLer Sloe MP5 MSG NOrmel Baler Dsr KBT crew Dell Score AK and those who i forgot you sry...get up more... GGP: "look at that leg": an invocation. the cones look like koi goldfish getting a jump on their next incarnation as plastic junk (aren't we all headed this way these days?). anyway, for some reason (the gentle rain and all), this inspires two haiku.
HAIKU UNO
