Previous Day :: Next Dayjeeff: sure you do except they're selling mother's day cards and werthers originals. jeeff: it looks a bit like hool's eyemod. jeeff: it looks like the end of akira when tetsuo's body goes all biomechanical and starts flowing out into everything. i'd love to see it with a wide-angle lens. jeeff: i like the third one best too. timeless and bleak. the lighting and vignetting make it look like a much older scene. jeeff: this reminds me of claes oldenburg's oversized sculptures of shuttlecocks and clothespins. www.nelson-atkins.org/art/Collec . . . e.cfm?id=30296&theme=kcsp
i'm also reminded of an old tv show on muchmusic (canada's mtv) called mike & mike's excellent cross-canada adventures in which the mikes often visited small towns with strange monuments like a giant perogie on a giant... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I went to a rave in the Brookly Bridge in about 1995. It was literally in the space within the Brooklyn side of the bridge. I may have been the only person not on E or acid there. My friend and I staggered back to Manhattan as the sun was... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Isadora Duncan. Chris Erb: I've finally made one here: http://www.citynoise.org/article/4587/ jamie: they are taken with my nokia 6210 which does do a weird fisheye thing under certain conditions. i like it though Al: Well, the famous photos of dubious origin have appeared again, this time billed as Photos of Katrina over Mississippi. The copies I have are dated 2004 and were said to have been taken in Southern Alberta, Canada. Hmm. Chris Erb: I'm pretty sure this is either blvd St-Laurent or Rue St-Denis. I can't remember for sure though. EvilGentleman: Hmmm, I know I've seen this, but where? Somewhere near Sherbrooke Street's museaum area, I suspect. The guitar sign and the pseudo-gaslight streetlamp are clues as well, but my brain is not connecting today. jamie: freaky.. i love sodium
small world Ariel: I cant belive there are suckers talking about law and permissions. What this man did is unbelivable!! I bet theres not even one person on this forum who dedicates her life to a dream.
This man shows us what the human being is able to do. Just one man constructing his... EvilGentleman: You forgot to mention the mile marker. Actually, you are almost as bad as me for overdescribing things, but better safe than sorry.
By the way, great shot, especially considering that it was taken from a moving vehicle. My mirror vibrates too much to be able to do that. Don't you... joey: reflections are one of my favorite subjects. think about it, reflections been around since there was water on this earth. EvilGentleman: General Eisenhower went on to become President, while this old General did not die, but just faded away.
Old Blood and Guts was one of the most controversial and amazing men of the 20th century. A short listing:
- Wealthy Californian bigoted redneck with a mother who idolized the Confederates
- Represented America... thegreathudiniwriter: much respect to the 561 OG crews,
ICE, TGK... am i missing something? lol haha thegreathudiniwriter: the latest crackle on the stereo...

Also, it has the "rough" finished cranks. They were not rounded over on the... Biff: I don't see anything!? Susannah: Duh - I just realized Pittsburgh is not in the top 15 - still I don't think it warrants even top 20 status. Susannah: I miss the WTC - its hard to hink of anything else being there. Susannah: I dont't think Pittsburgh deserves to be in the top 15 - not by a long shot. I went to Pittsburgh for a month one weekend. Susannah: I think there's a high stakes poker game (or maybe dominos) going on behind that door. Susannah: I don't understand why we have billboards about how people govern their personal lives and relationships - except that I know there are special interest groups purchasing advertising space. You don't see any billboards saying "be nice to your Mom today", or "remember Grandpa". Susannah: Interesting how all of the bottles are lined up in order to obscure the view of the inside of the store. I hope your friend knows who his neighbors are. Susannah: I love this kind of image. steelisreal: Strange how small things like this make you emotional after you have moved from a place you love to a place you can not stand. Wow I miss Northern California so much.. JAONE XTC: i got mad love for the city of brotherly love.... ron hernandez: la sux...the city is a joke the skyline blows,,,and the people are fake....next Biff: Where is this exactly, it looks tragic or sad... Chris Erb: I imagine the main reason they installed poles like that is to keep people from poestering them. joey: if you were a bird, where would you land? grant p: it's either a paste-up or a mock of a paste up...
it's very similar in style to a peculiar campaign around town involving pictures of Burton Cummings of the Guess Who with the text "Stand Tall" beneath him... He's from Winnipeg and he owns a chain of restaurants, but I don't... Previous Day :: Next Day |
