Previous Day :: Next DayTENANT FROM BROOKLYN: I WANT TO DOWNLOAD A PICTURE TO CITYNOISE paul: this place is sweat
Anonymous (cpe-68-173-202-245.nyc.res.rr.com): the booths had the systems long before the film ever came out. They had a RR Clerk burn to death in their booth when some scumbag doing a holdup torched the booth. It was sometime after *that* I think that was Elderts Lane on the J.
GGP: I gave yesterday the boot.
ea: languid heat breeze hangs over me like bowery electric
slide down coastlines, conscious
of your paces
a pause, a gasping imminence
every minute wisp kiss slips away Reality: To everyone that believes white people are living in Humboldt Park for the fun of it, get real. It is not by choice. Why would anyone choose to put themselves in an area of random gunfire, fights, drugs, hypodermic needles, and hatred? If I had a choice I think it'd... Peter: thats fine by me joey: i'll photograph anything. even a paperback book. Peter: it always bothered me that the real money trains dont look nearly as cool as the ones in the movie. remember when the mta installed fire-extinguisher systems in every token booth cause of that movie?
i used to see the money train cross the broadway bridge almost every day, on the... deshant: like the ever-fleeting career of wesley snipes and woody harrelson, the money train is frequently mistaken for one of the vacuum trains. until you see the armed guards peeking through one of the windows trash talking about catching a turnstile jumper across the face with the butt of a 12-gauge Peter: ahh the ever fleeting money train!
also: www.nycsubway.org/cars/revrider.html cespr: man this shyt is fucking tight...... its rare u see some shyt this tight and it still can make u laugh your ass off..... thanks, anonymous toronto street artists for makin this happen we need more of this sorta shyt in the world Anonymous (cpe-68-173-202-245.nyc.res.rr.com): ok Im officially depressed...you saw it *I* didnt :-P *wink*
I usually see the Revenue Collection Train out and about. cespr: that shit is off the hook. props to the photographer/writer for taking these flicks and puttin em here for all to see piranha erem: the pet bird phenomenon seems interesting. what does it mean? Peter: i figured as much ;) elaine: my guess it is buckfast wine, known for it's medicinal qualities... especially by the drinking fraternity AirdrieMK: I love Chicago and its revolving doors I'm Cool: yes they have black people in canada elaine: oh yeah! duh! Peter: where did kobe go?
also: whats a "buckie bottle"? Martin: Nice flats Kobe, I particularly like the green chaute in the garden, least theres no Buckie bottles in shot.... Meantime: Yeah, that looks like a lot of fun. I've been up to Vancouver and it was great! Hopefully I can get out that way one day. RIP CHILD AirdrieMK: Your last comment about the North stipulates what many people think as being stereo type due to the past troubles. Normally it is due to igmorant people - eg on a recent visit to England I had the misfortune of sharing a taxi with a public school girl type women,... Peter: train porn ;) elaine: ya hoo! train porn! elaine: hee hee, yeah, science boy - always carry litmus paper when planning a vomiticious meal! Peter: www.nycsubway.org/cars/workcars.html Peter: ahh, the beauty of a balanced pH :) elaine: that's exciting. i like things like that, though i do wonder why.
i also like how the driver seems to have a tudor ruff and is looking at a cartoon of a ghostie with his hands up... or is that just me? ella lumpkins: This is really amazing...
There is nothing like this where I live (in Louisville KY) althought there are buisnesses that have to get their walls repainted monthly because a lot of people have gotten into street art the past few years outside of writing on mailboxes and payphones.
Thanks for putting this... elaine: yep. it is a blackberry cordial and not at all acidic. there was a time when i could hurl for britain, and i found most drinks would get acidic in the stomach, but not ribena, and it would taste the same coming up as when it went down Peter: ive never heard of ribena. is it this? www.ribena.co.uk piranha erem: cauz im sure none of those writers have ever done any illegal work before, eh? :pppp fuck the haters. graf is graf, no matter what the context, fool. Peter: elaine: you know what doesn't? ribena. Real-er than real: Legal 'graffiti' is lame, fuck all you hipster fucks who don't get your hands dirty.

It was systematically destroyed with similar works when I was there. Good shit Peter: thats a fascinating story. do feel free to share such writing swith us anytime... we like stuff like this here, alot. Peter: trust me, their rancid sour cream and brown hot sauce will taste worse coming back up than going down, but i digress! elaine: yuk, the brown spittle! yuk! elaine: very roman elaine: it's bred into us. i blame horror/suspense/noir nothing good ever happens out there. pisses me off, actually, the rubbish we are fed an interpolates itself round our naive little hearts elaine: hah, yes, probly. just goes to show my natural inlinations are more solvent based! elaine: maybe. it actually could be the lens, and just a recalcitrant stain - hard to tell eith these timy lenses Peter: i wouldnt reccommend water, but some cleaning with denatured alcohol or methanol can work wonders... cleaning without damaging the electronics!
i dropped mine and broke the screen, but will be taking delivery of a newer/better model this week! that means higher-res shots :) elaine: mine has a persistent smudge which i think, horribly, is in the digital works. my friend ian helpfully suggested i wash it under the tap, but i don't think that was the advice i will follow. i keep using it, but the smudge bothers me, and i mean to get... Peter: heh! BEWARE yummy taco! unless, that is, you like puking right after you eat, hehehe. pupstar: what will become of us ?? pupstar: yeah, total banksy copy. mate, you should have stayed in and got an early nite like. GGP: i grew up going to the central park zoo. one of the best things there--I think it's gone now--was a big blue cement whale whose gaping mouth you could walk into. Inside, where the whale's throat would be, was a huge goldfish tank. It was very cool. My only bad... GGP: yes, yummy taco, but they're so NOT yummy I didn't want to give them free advertising. Peter: also: jeeff- great shots man... im really psyched that you shared this with us. superlative!! Peter: im wondering if "that sweet smell" isnt in reference to something completely different than paint fumes ;) Peter: its funny how all us city folk automatically assume the worst situation surrounding a photo like this :) Peter: ill try, though lately no photos for me, as my camphone is out of commision for the moment :( Peter: yay! i love going to the central park zoo to see the alpacas and other animals there in the kids/petting part. you never get too old for that sort of stuff :)
and rick the beetle, winning hte "ringo star" award totally cracked me up. thanks! Peter: occasionally, the mta runs old "vintage" trains, like on weekends in the summer, or for special outings. ive always wanted to ride in one of the old ones with the cane seats and wooden interiors... Peter: jamie: WOAH! thats cool.... heh. Peter: sweet! you could call that "the butts of peterborough" ;) Peter: old gas pumps! awesome! and goodness is gas ever expensive... Peter: haha, i saw that second one the other day, but have broken my camphone recently and couldnt take a shot of it... and here you have! isnt that in front of "yummy taco"? ahh, the home of the cheap burrito... dyspepsia included at no extra charge! GGP: now THAT'S old!!

Not my neighbourhood: Peterborough, UK GGP: I second the little fugitive recommendation--beautiful stuff. Jamie: robotface
asleep
then awake, RAAR! GGP: love charles. cool to see this here. GGP: his feet are trademarked and I could not obtain permission to shoot them. kc: it is lovely. The pictures seem exceptionally bright...is it the eye, the location, the camera? the sun? Maybe just a lot of colors in the scenes... isabel: i think Rocky sounds nice
isabel: do you have cats they are sweet! Laura : Times may have changed, but I see a different lady each week, knitting something on the subway... :) joey: reminds me of the robot in the tv series 'lost in space'. but you cropped it a bit too close- we can't see his feet. GGP: pieces of candy on their way to work!
gumballs! Pez! M&Ms! taffy-in-a-hurry! Previous Day :: Next Day |
