Previous Day :: Next DayNYer: "I heard the victim was brain-damaged to the point of being declared permanently vegetative, and that was the last I heard of him. The guy who attacked him was arrested a month or two later (I had actually had conversations with the guy a week before he was arrested) and... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: EvilG, you seem to share my ability to barely avoid horrible situations. bklynchild: wow.
wow. Jamie: can, can, can, can't yea ok: Keis people like you pretty much just need to ignore it ,graffiti is for other writers its for them they don't care if the fact you don't like it or the fact you can't read it or not...its just for them. And since graffiti is such trash how come REAL... EvilGentleman: I remember in 1995, I was at my favourite watering hole waiting for two guys to finish playing pool so I could have a turn, when I decided that I had better go check on my friend's girlfriend to make sure she was ok. (My friend was away for a... Chris Erb: It's quite an interesting development. The layout of the changes look like they will be pretty good. I was reading in a Planning magizine about developments much like this in Quebec City. Apparently Quebec City has a lot of these on the outskirts of the city that... groovehouse: My morbid curiosity wonders what happened... Merphy: parkour is the best sport i want to join bur were? i live in west london in hayes. hahaha jeeff: grammie, people in canada do this too. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: That's magical. I love the Bondi graf that turns into the sea on the wall. lovely. EvilGentleman: The new configuration of the complex, when completed, is supposed to have close to 550 new housing units in it (There are still a number of veterans remaining from the original complex as well, who are now in a new building). Of the new units, 213 are for special housing... Peter: ...thats because your schools arent in the middle of brooklyn! trust me, sometimes i wish that i was surrounded by acres of open land here, without any fences. Peter: ...because theyre usually worn out when you toss them. Happy Grammie: Never heard of this complex, but it sure looks like it used to quite nice with all those beautiful tall trees and green space. Hope they make it affordable rentals.
Happy Grammie: We must be behind times in Canada. Our deaf people go to schools that don't have barbed wire fences. The deaf school near me in Milton, Ontario, has acres and acres of land around the school and no fences at at all.
Happy Grammie: You Americans really do some crazy things! Why not just give them to the Sally Ann, Goodwill, etc.
Peter: thats some imposing architecture! i like the shapes of the lamp on the left, the cell-repeater antennae on the bank roof and that shed/unit/thing. nice urban forms. Happy Grammie: I live in Burlington, ON, and feed the birds all year long, have five birdbaths for them also. We also have raccoons and skunks roaming around at night, but what I love to do is look out my window and see the baby bunnies standing up on their hind legs... Chris Erb: That's a neat building. I like the deck over the veranda. Dave: That brings me back... I used to see sneakers hanging off phone lines quite often when I was a kid in Ridgewood (Queens) in the early '70s. Later on, I may have lofted a pair or two, myself ;) EvilGentleman: Hear, Hear! I applaud you, Peter. Well said. Kit: The problem is it's not just an impediment to thieves. It's also an eyesore, and hampers innocent fun. I'd much rather see people scampering around things what ought not to be climbed than plopped in front of the telly. zagg: hot damn, that first one is just freaking amazing. zagg: It took 4 years but this submission is finally getting some comments for it! Ha-ha! Aparently there is a few locals that have (randomly?) been to citynoise! Dave: You know, it occurred to me not long after I posted that some of what I wrote would seem offensive to positive Bushwick residents who had been working for a better neighborhood. (Such guiding lights can be found even in the worst 'hoods). That was certainly not my intention and... zagg: t@ngent: aparently Macedonia is very popular with the German tourists (I'm Canadian though). Whenever we watched TV in Macedonia and Greece I was constantly seeing advertisements for Croatia ... its like "hmm, well, i was never even considering that one..." zagg: Thanks Peter, a close friend of mine was living in Macedonia at the time (my tri was in May) and so I took life by the balls and flew over to Macedonia for 2+ weeks. Was staying in the capital, Skopje but we took trips down to other cities... t@ngent: apaarently it'st the hot new tourist destination. bosnia, croatia, macedonia. bulgaria is also very cheap and it's supposed to be very nice. i guess it's a break form the traditional mediteraenean tourist destinations. i'm currently plumping for a holiday in bulgaria, but the missus isn't keen. zagg: Were you stalking them? zagg: I love it. Random and happy. zagg: Fact: I had a budgie once, i named it Misty but when I was older (5) I changed its name to Hulk Hogan.
t@ngent: Remember that tank top you bought me.
You wrote 'You're Gorgeous' on it.
You took me to your rented motor car and filmed me on the bonnet.
You got me to hitch my knees up and pulled my legs apart.
You took an instamatic camera and and pulled my sleeves around my heart.
Because you're... t@ngent: it's a robot building t@ngent: Someone: What's happened to the world? H.S.: I had my bike stolen last night from in front of my posh building - the one night that I leave it locked up outside instead of bringing it to the underground garage like I always too. My bad :( My super came to tell me about Igor's... Peter: i had a similar reaction while watching 5 transit cops overzealously enforcing a minor traffic stop in front of newark penn station (driving in the bus lane)... i was trying to photograph it with my cameraphone (to post on citynoise, heh) and one started hassling me, telling me that it... ksedge: beautiful photo. EvilGentleman: I beg to differ, Ian. I was in the town of Clinton, Connecticut in August 1999, and was filming some of the local scenery with my camcorder when I saw a local cop going through the drive-thru at Burger King. Since I was close to him, I asked if it... Chris Erb: That's too bad, it looks like a really neat area. elaine: sings like a canary? Peter: oh, its happening, sadly enough, despite the immense outcry. the underberg building (1, 2, 3) has already fallen to the wrecking-ball, as have many other historic buildings. more are set to go soon.

I only know a bit about the project. sally: penis building. Peter: wow, pretty. the cloud in the second one looks downright ominous. im really liking these photos of Macedonia, zagg. thanks for posting them. what took you there? Peter: hooray for Vespas! little ukraine: at 512 feet, it is indeed - here's a nice set of photos i just found:
www.satanslaundromat.com/sl/archives/000534.html

Chris Erb: This is the tallest building in Brooklyn isn't it? Vince Browne: nice place V Vince Browne: not like Yorkshire penny Vince Browne: looks a lot better than Barlick excellent cheers Vince Vince Browne: Gus, Jean from Budapest is my partner Pats sister I think she would be
happy to see some photos you may have, cheers Vince TheTruth: "I see it more as a class war than a race war."
"...But that doesn't explain why, poor or not, the residents of Bushwick didn't have enough self-respect to take care of their neighborhood."
Dave, did you ever wonder how Ridgewood stayed lilly white and drug free for so many years while... Jean whit: I have been raising a baby racoon...it was only a couple of days old when it's mother left it behind...He bit me tonight and drew blood now should i be running to the hospitial to get rabie shots? Please someone let me know...His foot was caught in something he... jimmy: zizou...thou art great.....richa, very good work saun: classy article....one of the best I've read
Munday (RPK): There is no serects in parkour best way to improve is pracice practice pracitce train put the effort in and learn more about the sport. rdgguy: Don't touch that copper. Beleive it or not, it's still charged with 11,000 volts of electricity. Several vandals have found that out the hard way. anon (pool-141-153-234-225.mad.east.verizon.net): Al, The name of the night club was "Town Hill".
