Previous Day :: Next Dayprocyon: "Something else that I've read into this poster is that the artist obviously has a hate-on for someone who looks like the guy blocking the doors. Maybe some guy with nice teeth, a gold ear ring, a goatee, and a silly haircut which is probably hiding his baldness ripped the... steve: just a simple correction, Vancouver's skyline is not restricted due to the near by Rocky Mountains, They are actually hundreds of kilometres away, but because of the coastal mountains which are just outside of Vancouver. iman: nice shots. 14th street does not look boring. iman: from a place that serves meat, to a place that sells videos of meat. iman: (in a very high pitched voice)--welcome to munchkin land! iman: karma, by any chance, do you live on long island? iman: ha! that was good man. iman: oh okay. iman: that's cool. i just moved to brooklyn 3 months ago, and my parents keep saying that we're moving to nc. i'm gonna miss long island. ghost of grandin: indeed i did, iman. little ukraine: gotta love the cloisters. nice title too. iman: nice shots man! iman: man i used to live in selden, and it was never all spooky and stuff. so g.o.g., did you go to patchogue-medford? jack: good shot. jack: spring should hit minnesota sometime in july and then summer will last a total of three weeks and then it will snow before fall hits. jack: besner, i understand. jack: goodthing you didn't get any pictures of me dancing. i don't want anyone to know what i do to make a few xtra bucks. jack: the blonde on the marque looks like the girl on the plane in first class and the attendant told her to move to coach because she didn't have tickets for first class and the blonde loudly states that she is blonde, beautiful, going to new york city and is not... jack: great pic's fuzzytank, really nice and very photogenic. jack: i guess they have nothing better to do in washington. jack: is this for this life or the past life or our next life? jack: i can use that vehicle to pick up the girls for the policemens ball in gta. Peter: wow, that second one is so luminescent... i love it... Frank S. Besner: is that Double Flute Man? I think so... this guy's common feature at Berri-Uquam metro, plays TWO FLUTES AT THE SAME TIME! CE: I don't think it means to say it that elegantly. The French word "retard" is written in a way that would just mean "late" in English. I think it's just stating that blocking the doors will make riders late and that it is illegal to do so.
The word... Frank S. Besner: Not quite. Retard actally means "belated" or the state of being late.
The sign litterally translates to: "Blocking (the metro) doors: illegal belatement"
the employ of the word "retard" and the basic design of the thing obviously points to an intended double entendre as retard's english pop meaning is generally well understood... Tbennow: I know alot of hot looking ladies but there the ugliest people on the inside, Whats the number one way of getting people back thats right the Net. The ones that were picked on now getting back on the www easy to do they can be who ever they... sir fanceepants: i read the comment of adding wood glue to make it waterproof. you can also add bookbinder's glue to make it super resistant. iman: hey l.u., i'm goin there over the summer. i'll be sure to go around patchogue, and maybe find some more interesting things in other towns too. iman: nice shots man! i grew up on long island, but it was never that creepy. iman: man i grew up in sound beach, selden, centereach, rocky point and middle island. iman: i think by the word retard they mean to refrain, or to not do. little ukraine: Tyfoid Kid - I had a chance to read the power broker last summer (appropriately enough, while commuting on the long island rail road). it's a really incredible book, i can't say enough about how much i enjoyed it. it reads as well as a book on the... Tyfoid Kid: This is very cool. I'm just reading that book about Robert Moses - The Power Broker http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Power_Broker
This guy had a hand in all kinds of things and he got very rich for someone who was never elected to office. iman: nice shots man! the city is beautiful at night. iman: little ukraine, man i grew up on long island too man! what town(s) did you live in? iman: to dicksux and ding dong dick, go back to sucking on your moms tit while waiting to grow up a little. by the way, those pictures look like minesota on spring break. iman: montreal should be renamed strip city. people over there are hornier than a rabbit who just got out of the pen. iman: its like a messed up woodstock. EvilGentleman: Octopussy is actually an exotic dance studio, no drinks are served. I'll post those pics this evening. CE: My favourite strip bar name in Montreal is Octapussy. Peter: omg, i predict that this is going to be a very popular series with our google crowd... hahaha EvilGentleman: Thanks, Frank. I haven't done any Wiki updates in a bit, maybe I should add some of my own content. EvilGentleman: You mean Sexe-Mania, the one near Frontenac Metro, across from the Tim Horton's that was the first in Montreal? I don't have any pics at the moment, but I know it well, although it has been many years since I set foot in there, as well. I'll see what I... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: That's very groovy, groovehouse. Nicely done. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: It's reminding me of the Rick Veitch comic "Brat Pack." Brilliant stuff. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: The bunny on the phone is wonderful Mushi: Uponflames and Jimmy QV -- also, when choosing a place to live, no real estate agent did an upsell to me. I didn't go through a broker to find my place, just an add online. Real estate agents will manipulate you if you let them -- I've never done that.... Frank S. Besner: Oh By the way, Evil. You picture is MUCH better than the other one I've seen up on the net.
Maybe it's time somebody spruced up the wikipedia metro station entries with a few pictures of the curiosities that lie in the streets surrounding them? Frank S. Besner: Well I have scoured the interwebs and have finally come up with the info, via the wonderfully informative www.metrodemontreal.com. As it turns out, the sculpture bears the rather apt title "Revolutions" was constructed on site in 2003 by the artist Michael DeBroin. It was, as suspected intend to mimic the... anon (modemcable007.25-81-70.mc.videotron.ca): man, you gotta do a piece on mania-MANIA-MANIA-MANIA!!! out on East St-Cath
That's my favourite strip bar name. upfromflames: I was a little disappointed at your original presumption that the mysterious empty spaces in Newark once held decayed housing full of junkies. Actually, some of them used to contain thriving neighborhoods, some Italian white, some black. Many of those neighborhoods were torn down in a fit of urban renewal... joey: now that's a fat slice of new york. did this hotel have a previous name ?
the only sky one sees is in the reflections on the windows. Chris: wow . . ive really wanted to know bout cabrini green live bout 25 miles away . . nd thanks to this forum i now know more thanks to you guys and i cant wait till all the renovations do happen becuase its gonna change chicago drastically .... zagg: I love Idiotrod photos no matter the city! anon (h4607776e.area7.spcsdns.net): 66 chevelle/ made for canada buick lesabre 1969 i think
iman: i live in bensonhurst and it looks very similar to bushwick. i'm from long island and every town there looks completely different from another. i guess brooklyn is all the same. and it's a cool place. iman: man, that's stupid. they might have just thrown it on somebody else's yard, or used it to bust someone's mailbox like on Dazed And Confused. it's actually funny when you're not the victim, but someone has watched too much tv. Mushi: I've now lived in Bushwick for 10 months. Other than the fact that where I live feels like a dorm sometimes (loud music, loud people), I do feel safe there. Yes, as I have said, it doesn't look like the most desirable place in the world, but it's cheap, I... Previous Day :: Next Day |
