Previous Day :: Next DayChris Erb: I hope these get the loving they deserve. I also hope at least some of them are made into low income housing as I hear it is almost impossible to live in NYC unless you're making pretty damn good money. EvilGentleman: I have some friends that swear by BC buds, although I do not care for that sort of thing myself. Chris Erb: I like the little guy in the clouds in picture 2. Chris Erb: This is the second pun in a row I've read by you EG! You're on a roll.
I noticed that they trees in Montreal were actually quite ahead of the trees here in New Brunswick. Maybe the further west you go the better the buds are. Victoria probably... Chris Erb: The all in one pillow is pretty neat. I have a good invention for kool aide but I need to figure out if it's been done yet. if not, I think it could be huge! joey: california golden poppies Chris Erb: This is actually the first time I've ever seen a blackberry (even a picture). I've always wondered what they look like but never took it upon myself to simply google image search it. They look pretty neat. The buttons look like they might be kinda hard to... Chris Erb: wow. I would love to watch the artists do this. It just amazes me how much detain they can get with spray paint. I have no idea why people are against grafitti. Elicar: Nice. I like the angles. Elicar: Michelle, the little that I could see, very nice backyard!
Who does the gardening, though? ;)
I don't have daffodils nor daisies in my garden, but I think those are daffodils.
Here are the daisies that I bought for an AIDS fundraising.
Elicar: No, I didn't! I didn't get my Tiffany "rock! ;) Chris Erb: Political science to photography is quite a jump! I'm going to be doing a double major in Sociology and urban studies then hopefully to to grad school to do city planning. One of the things that attracted me to Concordia was the fact they do have a very... EvilGentleman: Just because plant-type organisms do not move is no reason to think they are more suited to die violently than are mobile, animal-type organisms. Life is life. Many people debate whether or not plants actually feel pain, and my native heritage has a tradition of respecting the spirits of any... EvilGentleman: During my 6 years of working as a jail guard, I saw many disrespectful acts commited by the prisoners. I have been spit on, had my children's lives threatened, and had to sustain abuse of a level that is hard to describe, and yet I still treated the prisoners with... sherri: I can tell you that people always judge "Public Civil Servants". Try doing their job for ONE day. Get spit on, cursed at, yelled at, etc. My fiancee is a Corrections Officer at a max jail and I can tell you, the disrespect street is only ONE WAY. Anyone remeber... Michelle: Great pictures, an even better story though! Michelle: Wow! I'm amazed that a cameraphone gives such good quality! Good for you! GGP: all of that would be nice! give it time... Robert: Jack, you take me back to those good old days even better than a Thomas Wolfe short story would. Great pictures too! EvilGentleman: LOL, I was trying for Buds, too. Luckily my bar has a fridge full of Bud. Tamara: Biff: I use to eat lunch in the quad, haven't been back in years... looks at though nothing has changed.
Evil: it's absolutely beautiful at the moment, almost all the trees in the city, are budding. It's my favorite time of the year. Biff: I think I was trying for the buds. anon: Jamie: Great pics, I love the quality of black and white.
Elaine... too funny.
Do you could document the combat, personally I'd be laughing to hard (no pun intended)! EvilGentleman: I wonder if they serve tacos, tostadas, falafels and gyros, too. With Belgian chocolates for dessert, and Australian beer to go. EvilGentleman: True enough, sherri. But police officers also have to learn to be in control of their emotions at all times. Powertripping or "teaching a lesson" seldom works, it tends to breed contempt, not respect. And I honestly have to wonder, if the kid was white, would he have been pinned... EvilGentleman: er... ok. But maybe you shoulda taken the pic a little closer to the trees, so we could see the quadrangle between the trunks, instead of through the branches. I see your trees are budding more than ours here, by the way. EvilGentleman: elaine, but then you open yourself up to the possibility of seeing things like this sherri: Well kids and adults alike need to learn to respect our officers. Live a day in their shoes before you judge... EvilGentleman: elaine, the pink Scotiabank building is not home to Barbie, but I think that Squirrel that hangs out with Spongebob Squarepants might frequent the place fairly often.
Chris, I am a political science major who is hoping to switch to photography in mid-2007. Due to my mature student status, I have... GGP: hilarious! Biff: This the main quadrangle of Ryerson University in downtown Toronto. We are in the last week of final exams, so there not a lot of students about... Biff: This the main quadrangle of Ryerson University in downtown Toronto. We are in the last week of final exams, so there not a lot of students about... elaine: the pink building looks like barbie might live there elaine: i quite like the idea of penises in combat joey: you must have the phone set to 'backlot' effect, as picture #2 has the painted scenery look after about the third car. Chris Erb: I didn't realize that the "box" is no longer in use as the actual arts building. I didn't notice the graffiti but I'll check for it next time I'm in the city (should be around May).
You make a good point about keeping tuition rates low by not having to... EvilGentleman: Um.... What am I looking at, Biff? Chris Erb: Mine started going grey at 15 or 16. I haven't noticed many more since but I've been letting my hair grow longer since then so I just might not be able to see new ones. EvilGentleman: Jamie, don't force me to dicuss my grey ear hairs! ;-)
And if I had whings, I would fly... :-p EvilGentleman: As you can see in the first pic, any prisoners attempting to escape will have a mop bucket and a squeegee thrown at them. I think that would hurt a lot, especially if it's still full of water when it hits. And those squeegees sometimes have sharp edges... Jamie: 36? quit whinging, i'm only 26.. or 25, i forget. EvilGentleman: I remember passing through Yellowknife on my way to study at Aurora College in Fort Smith. I had not seen a city for two years when I hit Yellowknife, since I had been living in Coral Harbour, Nunavut at the time. I remenber the first thing I did was buy... EvilGentleman: Mine is not grey yet, but at the rate it is thinning, I don't think it ever will. I still have hair covering the top of my head, but I think in about 2 years, I'm going for the Vin Diesel look. However, my frigging eyebrows are going grey, goddammit!... EvilGentleman: Actually, you did get the new fine arts, or EVA (I have no idea what the acronym stands for) building. It is the one with the "hat" and the obtuse-angled facade on it's upper stories, which you can see in the last pic in your comment, behind the bus and... Chris Erb: So is mine :S Ladii Kay: what what.....bushwick is the shit ....i lived there all my life i grew mup on knickerbocker and cornelia and there was alot of problems in general but still u get use to it..... holla bushwick brooklyn all day everyday........~BrOoKlYn BomBsHeLL~ Jamie: my hair is turning grey/gray Chris Erb: I turned 20 this month. Chris Erb: Those are pretty good photos for a cameraphone. They add some neat ambiance to the pictures. Chris Erb: I also didn't get the fine arts building which one would assume would be a nice and interesting building but it's actually a bland four story box. It reminds me more if a distribution centre in New Jersey than a building where a lot of creative juices should be... Chris Erb: Thanks EG.
I checked on Emporis and pic #5 is indeed the tallest building in Montreal. it's called Le 1250 Boulevard René-Lévesque (why can't they give these buildings actual names?) and at 226 metres tall it's one of the tallest buildings in Canada.
Here are some other Concordia buildings to show... Marita: Awwww...you're making me so so so homesick! It's still winter in Yellowknife & we won't be doing any lying-on-benches-in-the-sun til July. Enjoy! Get out of your car, buddy: Gotta love Montreal! yul781: Thank you for your post EvilGentleman, tres beau travail.
It help us understand our country better.
Encore MERCI et mes salutations a toi, ton epouse et a Miss-polar.
yul781 Editor: i am closing this article as it has descended into a petty sectairan squabble. lease read the faq at www.citynoise.org/about.php before posting any more comments. i'm sure there are plenty of forums where sectarian insults are positively encouraged, but this isn't one of them.
complaint being sent to abuse@c2kni.org.uk Karlo: hello leecat, hope u enjoy your visit here, youll certainly find some parallels with your own country, but of course, major differences also..there are many guides and tours that explain to some degree, the facts about the conflict, but always keep in mind, that the conflict here was once raging all over this island,so a trip down... Editor: More about this building can be found here: Montreal Noise: Saint-Laurent 2 Jamie: "peter owns a lot of things we don't know about"
such as a rather fetching moustache EvilGentleman: Jeez, I was in community college before you were born. And I'm still young. Did you turn 20 yet, or are you still a teenager? Mind you, my best trip of my life so far was my tour of the American west when I was 19... EvilGentleman: The first pic is on Rene Levesque Boulevard (Dorchester to true Montrealers) looking west past Place Ville Marie.
Second pic is Place Ville Marie, which was the tallest building in Montreal for 25 years starting in 1961.
Not so sure what the building is in pic #3, but then again, I never... jeeff: i like the stretched perspective you got in photo #2. anyone know what the building in #3 is? Chris Erb: This even made Wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Hoyt Cameo: I've seen that guy doing push-ups infront of my favourite monday-night watering hole when it's -20 and snowing outside in the middle of January or Febuary... He stops in front of the window, drops down into the snow and starts pounding them out... What a freak! kc: Oy vey! Holy cow! Caramba! Elicar: Opps..I meant Duke of Richmond! jeeff: chicago has (had?) a 'club foot'. jeeff: yeah you might catch a dead body or two if you fish from the spadina wharf. Elicar: I hope you won't eat what you catch! The cleanliness of the water of Lake Ontario is a high suspect. GGP: club soda is a great name. is it a great place?
we have a place in bklyn called plain old "soda." Elicar: Love the first picture! anon (cpe-69-206-252-210.nj.res.rr.com): i like this guy Previous Day :: Next Day |
