Previous Day :: Next DayJamie: Thanks Elaine. Wrote this haiku whilst Ikea were in the process of building a mammoth new distribution centre in Fletton, Peterborough. This undertaking involved the construction of a new junction to the Fletton Parkway, including an elaborate system of access roads beneath the main carriageway. These roadworks, entirely funded... elaine: hee hee hee. My brother works at Ikea. I have emailed him to tell him about your poem. He wrote me a poem of his own on the day of the riots as you might imagine. Fancy people rioting for furniture in London nowadays! It took me back. It was... elaine: thanks, jamie. Am loving the effervesence of this shoe thing - it has a proper air of celebration about it doesn't it? elaine: nope, but was spending loads of time there til i got ill, however I didn't take many photos there as I am not a 'snapper' of people and I hadn't got my digital camera yet. Have just posted a page 'day trip' from those days... hope you like - there... Peter: no problemo, jamie :) i have tons of photos from my hood i took this past weekend... now that the site is working again, ill start posting em day by day... Jamie: Oh... So thats what the deal is with the shoes. I've always wondered why, and now i know. Thankyou Peter. Peter: yay! do you live in brighton? thompo: These pics of Seattle ferries take me right back to my trip there and round the Sound in '92. Great nostalgia for me - thanks! However, I was meaning to, so let me just do that Peter: I'd love to know more about Brighton... how about posting some more photos/info? elaine: very at home in Brighton, too. It might be pushing it's luck to call itself a city, but surely it's been the capital of gay for a long time elaine : They are kind of in a zoo, though not in exactly the same way as 'celebrities' who seem to have become the people version of starbucks etc. Jamie: I think i get the general idea of what you are trying to say beluzrebel. Thankyou, i'm glad you like my story Jamie: Heh, this piece of writing grew loosely aroud something i wrote after being inspired by that very song. It's definately one of my favourites from that album. I agree with you though fuzzytank. The first time i heard it i thought "what the" but it grows on you.

I love reading it and to also look photographs you, jamie, for weigh this london will be deistvitel'no likable city. I did want would be to see more photograph and to certain read more of your writing... greenday: seems like she dissapeared without a trace - did she ever marry old whatshisface? - i made a point to burn all of the photographs - she went away and then i took a diffrent path - i remember the face, but i can't recall the name - now i... hasslehoff: these are some beautiful photos fuzzytank Peter: wow, how many red walls to they have in toronto, hool? :) Peter: i love how this image is almost in perfect thirds... the bottom third water, city in the middle, sky on the top. the sky echoes the water. nice composition. Peter: red, red, pink! elaine: I read vernon god little by DBC pierre followed by that old ace in the hole by annie proulx, and did, of course, watch Dallas as a youth.
