Previous Day :: Next Day-ed: If no one bothered to wait till it defrosted, how does anyone even know that this was a real cat
with real blood??? That ice is pretty opaque.... laffy taffy: High fructose corn syrup in soda causes involuntary laughter. MOSE ONE: YO.. I got some THC XTC kids reepin in my area,NOPE an MARK,both rep THC,jus wonderin if any peeps out there heard of them.. peace.MOSE ONE AA. Anonymous: stouty boy: BRIDGETON LOYALIST FLUTE BAND NO1 UDA UFF UYM QS MON THE WOMBLES SANDY ROW HERE WE COME 2K6 STYLE chiamattt: jeeff: population density is so high in Japan and Korea that Health Care costs, such as routine checks and ambulance rides are quite cheap compared to what they cost in the U.S and Canada.
Could you imagine having to pay for a helicopter flight from some crappy northern arctic fishing... GGP: "the city is making a profit for advertising consumerism on the very containers into which we throw out the fittings and wrappers of consumer society."
well put, Michelle!
I wish I lived in Toronto so I could call and complain...plus, I really like Toronto. Plus it's in Canada. Michelle: Precisely my points! I really can't stand all the advertisements. It is really hard to find a bit of free public space that you can enjoy for its natural qualities. Everything has advertisements on it. Just like those monster garbage bins/advertising surfaces that are 7 ft. tall - can't even... S: This is a common problem in Toronto. Some people go to great lengths to advertise their company. I've also seen similar flyers "ducktaped" to the trees!. Just have a look at the TTC bus shelters. People will actually glue their advertising onto the glass!. I'm not... Cameo: Thank you jeeff! That's quite a relief. Thanks for giving my widly speculating mind some rest. mikeyp: Lynyrd Skynyrd sucks S: I don't think it has anything to do with the bridge. It could have something to do with the ferry service. I only hope they can keep that ferry service afloat. They haven't had very much luck with that business. realestate: BEAUTIFUL CATS kellen: that is flippin hilarious sherri: You guys got nothing on me. Try walking through a PACKED west edmonton mall (2nd largest in the world) with your skirt tucked into your thong waist band....Drafty ain't it!! With many hours of therapy, I got over it.....SCHMUK............ Peter: lol.. curbed again!
www.curbed.com/archives/2006/04/ . . . actor_in_union_square.php Michelle: Woohoo! EvilGentleman: Just imagine if Lorena and John Wayne bobbit had been Citynoise posters... Peter: moreover, things that incite feelings... like dead animals and battered women... anon (ca-redbch-cuda1-c9c-203.stmnca.adelphia.net): someone needs to do the same to that woman for wearing those shoes and making such a horrible face. she looks like the type that would stand there and wait for everyone to come up so she could tell everyone what was going on even though its right in front... EvilGentleman: no shit GGP: apparently, violence really begets hits--no pun intended. EvilGentleman: Holy crap, hool! Motorist vs Courier has almost 400 000 hits now? Just imagine if the thread was still going, how far it would have gotten by now. I think the editors would have had to devise a multi-page thread system. EvilGentleman: I take it you have heard about the Cree Indians planning to build 1100 windmills in a 500-kilometer stretch of their land in Quebec? It should produce about 1650 megawatts of power when fully online, and is a wonderful alternative to hydroelectricity, which is so devastating to the environment. a'la : Make that three calls! EvilGentleman: I like this avenue of civil conscientiousness. I hope we see more posts like this. hool: only 393239 hits to go until this surpasses motorist vs courier.
i'm still going with schroedinger’s cat as the explanation. it was a scientist simply wishing to demonstrate some principles of quantum physics. drea: THOSE ARE SO CUTE! GGP: re. the idea that this was a hoax; the photos don't do the details justice, but I feel 99% certain there was a real animal in there--I took a very close look. I WISH it was a hoax! Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Moon over Mimis, 2nd ave and 52nd street, Manhattan.
anon (ool-18ba5a46.dyn.optonline.net): gotta love the teen hipsters that are taking over the world and laugh at everything horrible.
Jonathan_NYC: the pooling of the blood at the base of this cat-ice-cube shows that it took awhile for the cat to freeze, blood is inherently heavier than water, thus if given enough time, say 6-9 hours to fully freeze the cat in an ice cube, the blood would have settled to... Michelle: Good stuff! Let's hope our phonecalls make a difference...
Mitch: THIS IS TRUE:::
It was obviousely a group called WolfClan. They are a gang of people who wear wolftails from their pants and do weird "art" extremes like this. There was WC in my hometown, Chicago and they threw 10 dead pigeons from a building. They are really wierd but some... elaine: yes, no. Tyfoid Kid: I'd heard that China was planting billions of tree. South Korea must be part of this then.
From the ChinaDaily online -
Last year, nearly 560 million people planted more than 2.5 billion trees throughout China. The accumulated efforts of volunteers reached 8.8 billion with more than 42 billion trees planted during... EvilGentleman: Wow, four other posts in the time it took to answer Catherine...
GGP, thanks for the compliments, and of course, thanks for the post. While I may not enjoy seeing this, as I am sure you did not, either, your dutiful feelings to citynoise may bring this despicable subject to a... jeeff: the guy said he was employing a new posterer in that area and would tell him again to stop. jeeff: make that 2 calls. Tamara: Chiamattt, the yellow sand made it to the news at noon in Toronto. Apparently severals cars were badly damaged in China while driving near a toll station, having their winodows smashed due to the force of the wind. Is this just being sensationalized? Or is it really that bad? EvilGentleman: Thanks, Catherine. I just hope this cat in GGP's pictures was already dead of causes not related to the iceman's doing, it would make the whole thing a lot easier to digest that way.
Judging from the growing response, I think we have a new Motorist vs Courier on our hands.... anon: hool, my cat use to wear a bell... didn't stop her from bring birds in the house, she was a great hunter... Cats kill out of instinct, I do not believe that these instincts are innate to humans beings, but rather sick and unbalanced people.
For those who suspect that... GGP: that's annoying! good for you for complaining. GGP: LOL, elaine...i thought scrubbing bubbles were universal parlance, but i see i was ethnocentrically wrong... GGP: peter - you are amazing! on the case everytime!
evilg- so appreciate your comments/stories/thoughts
Michelle: So gross. I can't believe that people are laughing - they should really be ashamed. It is as if they are waiting for someone to tell them this is a prank. Michelle: Brimley and Steeles - verging on Markham sherri: Brad, you have a great point. Serial killers are known to start with animal victims them move on to bigger things. Animal abuse is not a laughing matter. For more info on the connection to serial killers go to
www.peta.org Catherine Penfold-Waxman: cute as buttons. jeeff: where in town is this? Catherine Penfold-Waxman: That's a terribly sad story, EvilG. I'm glad you found the culprit and was able to help Karma find it's way to them. Gina: Important things to realize
1) It could have been roadkill. Gross, but no tthe biggest deal ever
2) How many cats are put to sleep in NYC each DAY? This could have been one of them
3) It's probably fake just to make people go OH NOES!! about something.
Comparing a "dead cat"... jeeff: canada's constitution provides for 2 levels of government - federal and provincial. cities (municipal government) are a creature entirely of the province. cities have no constitutional authority, so in most cases they have few options to fight the province if the province wants to do something.
for... Peter: huh. as of just now, inspector mcenroy of the 13th pct (212-477-7411) says that nothing fitting this description was reported in the area on or around last thursday, though he cant state that officially, and can not offer me any other details... he says that so much goes unnoticed, and... hool: also, if you care about the unecessary death of animals, and you have a cat, you should never let it outside. cats, more than any other domestic animal, wreak havoc on local wildlife. they are killing machines. great for vermin, not so great for birds and cute... EvilGentleman: Me (in court): Your Honour, I had no clue that the banana in question was still alive.
The Honourable Justice Plantain: Do you mean to tell me that you consider performing an indignity to a dead body to be acceptable? I will have none of it! I hereby sentence you to... hool: perhaps this is a variation on schroedinger’s cat, demonstrating the uncertainty principle. EvilGentleman: LMAO, I remember in 1995, I was dressed to go out in my "western" mode of attire one day. This consisted of custom-made black leather cowboy boots with four-inch heels, button-fly Levi's 501 jeans, a white denim shirt, a string tie with an eagle clasp, a faux stetson cowboy hat,... j3551: this can't be real.
I have never seen something so cruel and in humane in my entire life!!!!1 anon (toronto-HSE-ppp4075075.sympatico.ca): How do they do that? Who can make those types of decisions?
I know it's partly private property, but when building something don't you need permits?
Peter: re: art... i think someone already mentioned Damien Hirst also. interesting... EvilGentleman: While Gunther von Hagens' Body Worlds exhibits are what I personally consider to be inappropriate and disrepectful to the dead www.koerperwelten.com/en/pages/home.asp, at least I can see the educational merit of the exhibitions (currently in Philly, Houston and Denver). But there is no way in hell that I can condone cruelty... SHRone aka ShoohA": Nice and interesting colour-mix on the third photography.
The Regard from Russia! SHR" was here. Peter: that second one made me do a double-take! nice... Amanda Jade: I know of a person on a forum that I frequent who, instead of taking her ferret to the vet to have it put down humanely, put the ferret in the freezer. Contrary to popular belief, freezing to death is not "quick and painless." This is sick. EvilGentleman: Hmmm, I wonder if hookers get charged with tax evasion very often. Do they have to remit T-4 slips that list their "personal escort" income in the appropriate boxes, and if so, are they later eligible for Employment Insurance benefits? This could get interesting... Hit men would be "involuntary euthenasia... Peter: chia: wow, this is a phenomenon id never know about if you hadnt posted it here. fascinating... now im off to google it and read about it.
imagine... from the gobi desert. thats fascinating. Peter: wow, i too would love to see more! jeeff: yeah i heard this was being revived and that they're going over the mayor's head. jeeff: yeah, there's a big difference between this and meat-for-food, regardless of how unnatural factory farming is. the difference is that this is 100% perverse - death without any conceiveable purpose. who knows why a small minority of "artists" seem to be drawn to the torture and death of... Peter: while at criminal court this past weekend, i saw a man arraigned for selling a pack of cigarettes (well, part of a pack... it only contained 3 cigarettes, according to the docket) to a plainclothes officer. he got a stiffer sentence than the guy caught with heroin.
theres something wrong with... Peter: im glad youre representing israel here... i cant wait to see more... gone: naaarrrrrrr

but e shuda progresed or cum up wiv sum new bombs by now! Peter: wow, what an outstanding collection of faces... frankly, im surprised that no one has commented yet... this is most definitely a superlative entry... Peter: hahahaha AWESOME! Peter: i like the first two alot... and of course, how can you not like the wisky/dlink one? heh. thanks again chia! im loving these... anon (168.254.226.32): bvgydfhgyuh joe: FYI:

or their Media contact: Stuart Green 416-338-7119 Peter: nice! i like the fisheye effect in the first one, also... Peter: that second one- great, hool! Tamara: You should send these to the City of Toronto and see what kind of response you get? Yes, please keep us posted! EvilGentleman: By the way, I eat meat, the same as cats and dogs do. Animals (including humans) eating meat is natural. But to kill for neither food nor war is just wrong, like sport hunting where the meat is not used. I am strongly opposed to cruelty to animals, and before... Peter: Scrubbing Bubbles :) elaine: what in a what what might scrubbing bubbles be? melissa: definitely fucked up how people can get off on hurting animals. GGP: lucky you! these remind me of scrubbing bubbles! GGP: i actually did spend quite awhile trying to find a cop, because i don't own a cell phone. two police cars were parked nearby, but they were very devoid of police officers (should i have tried McDonalds? I wish it had occurred to me at the time). one guy nearby... elaine: i especially love the 'now you see them now you don't' Imageit: WOW! Cute and neat. elaine: good. fucking. god. Terrible Fish: i don't think this is "going crazy about every little thing". you're right, no one knows the circumstances surrounding the death of the animal. but to dump it so callously in union square is disgusting and shows that whoever dumped it has very little regard for life. life is more... EvilGentleman: In October of 1988, I was 19 and still lived with my parents in the officers' house assigned to my Dad in Canadian Forces Base Greenwood, Nova Scotia. One day that month, the paper boy opened our back screen door to toss the paper inside, as is normal for Canadian... Peter: ooh, those are awesome, elaine! great find! Damien Hirst: What you don't like my art? Catherine Penfold-Waxman: What beautiful birds. And very nicely captured. Peter: hmm, interesting. keep us posted? vanoogan: ...or, of course, the animal could have ruptured during a slow freeze. lord knows ive had bottles of soda burst in the freezer, and a cat seems like it could be a similarly-fated container of liquid, when frozen... delascabezas: haoxtable - unless someone has access to a whole lot of superfreezing apparatus, i don't see how someone could freeze a cat with the blood seeping out of it like that. if you have ever had a bleeding wound in a lot of water, it turns the water red... iolarah: more tdot graf! blue-star.ca/torgrafindex anon (c-71-199-180-166.hsd1.ga.comcast.net): this cat deserves some dignity. vintage virgo: it is really inhumanity? im not sure i would jump to a conclusion like that. i guess it depends whether that cat was dead before the "ice incident" or not. artists all around the world have been toiling with different ways to grab societies attention, and usually in cruel and... leviticus: Listen, I love animals as much as the next person and have 3 cats (well my parents have 3 cats) but to be honest there is a HUGE difference between a human head and a cat. IceCat may have already been dead (and maybe not even a cat) and if... jennofavalon: I have to say I was very hesitant to look. And the whole scene is disturbing. The poor animal dead in a block of ice, and the morons of NYC standing around. With all the cell phones, apparently taking photos of this poor sad disturbing scene. It floors me that... doja: that is sick.
yeah, whoever is laughing should have the same fate.
i can't imagine something like this happening to my kitties. but much worse fates do come to animals in slaughter houses. all who eat meat support the torture. mika: i would love to see the person responsible recieve the same treatment.. i have 4 cats and they might be a pain but I WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT
IAN: Those kids that are laughing need to be kicked in the face. Dan: Are you freakin kidding me? That's so fucking sick SCAM28: Excellent Mural...just delightful!!
that is all.... Peter: ok, we most definitely need to see more graf from hawaii up in here! Peter: wow, these are some lovely photos! you gotta love such sunny, baby-animal pics :) thanks for the post!! SCAM28: hmm chicken....damn it Peter, now I have to get some chicken.... Peter: colovito: you have an even better bike path than that over on the west side, yo... i used to ride it from hell's kitchen to 168th every day... til i found that going up CPW to St. Nicholas was tons quicker, and more fun... ;)
but yeah! that bike freeway looks... GGP: wouldn't it be great to live in a world where greed was truly taboo and colorful expression on walls was honored? you may say i'm a dreamer, etc. etc. Tamara: Great shots, it's awesome to see a body move like that! I'd be afraid that I break something.. I guess I'm a little to fragile to try. If you have more photo's please post them!
Diego, thanks for the link! a nony mouse: i.s.w.y:
i actually know the woman in the green boots. that's so weird.
(and no, she wouldn't be. she's surprisingly photogenic, but in real life she looks terribly ill) jh: ive been doing parkour for 2 months with me and my friends we can do parm spins and front flip already we go to westbay and practice every week we can do big jumps i shall carry on parkouring for a long time to come Tyfoid Kid: Last time my mother took a ride in an ambulance it was $700 to go one mile. When I was in college I worked at a fast food restraunt and we the assistant managers had these fobs we carried around so we could set off the silent alarm by... Salzo Baeza: VIVA MEXICO CABRONES HIJOS DE LA CHINGADA PUTA MADRE !!! Cameo: I love the white guy in the back trying to use his chop sticks! Cameo: LOL! GST... good times! SCAM28: God damn it...every time I read something like that I get so pissed...and there's nothing you can really do about it...
See I'm from Berlin, Germany and there's massive graf in this town...so as another measure to turn graf artists into criminals they've changed the law regarding tags done with the... EvilGentleman: I remember a few years ago, perhaps some time in the 1990's, there was a story in the Montreal media about a fire in an apartment building where one of the residents, a man from India, required medical attention. The ambulance driver wanted payment or proof of health insurance in... RIZE173:

drea: That's a GREAT photo! I luv it! So serene. drea: ooh...nice picture! drea: In Toronto you have to pay, I think $50, for ambulance ride if it's not a big emergency. My friend had to pay for it cuz he fainted at school, and the school called 911. drea: Did anybody try that dialing that number? jeeff: in japan i was told that you have to pay for your own ambulance ride after the fact. Tamara: I wish I had taken your warning more seriously... Let's just say I have a black cat at home. A truely horrific scene!
I think I'll put the keema back in the fridge for another day. Tamara: I don't want to assume, but I think what Carltan is saying, is that life is too important to waste and unfortunately war has a way of taking good people away and causing havoc in its path. Something we all know.
Looking at the photograph, I have an over whemling sense... WHO: Awesome! more please! i.s.w. y: cat*** LOL (frozen cars don't bleed ketchup!) i.s.w. y: ok just looked again at the picture and I think I'm taking my statement back........
the frozen cat i suppose makes anything look tastier as long as it's not a 2nd frozen car i.s.w. y: man...that woman with the green boots.....you know if she wore the right clothes she could be gorgeous.......instead.....you know, when you wear day glo clothing it just blinds people......so exactly what the dude above me said...she's like the wicked witch from the east! chiamattt: You know government is too big when... Jamie: Well.. yeah... It does look like that. I mean it's a real photo. Not doctored in any way. I fail to see your point. But in any case there are plenty more photos and commentary on the subject of northern ireland here on citynoise if you're interested. Jamie: Carltan, what on earth are you talking about? GGP: xcellent. i really like this artist, but didn't know about this piece...and I am kind of a weather freak, so thanks! S: I wonder if that includes GST? S: I think Drea makes a good point. Unless these smokers were stupid enough to provide ID with their name and home address, what's stopping these people from giving a false name?. That's like issuing a ticket to a kid for not wearing a bicycle helmet. Fat chance that ticket... jeeff: lookee what i found on wikipedia:
upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e . . . odern.weather.project.jpg Elicar: Holy Carapolla Peter! This really got you going. I really did not read your write up when I first saw this post. Here I was, admiring your "class" in dealing with Irish Mike/Mike in Fuck England even though he was personally attacking you! I don't know if I myself would... Peter: i'll most certainly tell! i just need a little time to rest up from this BS and get a proper story written up (that will do it proper justice).
the punishment: a desk warrant to reappear in court for sentencing in june... probably (according to the lawyer) some community service (it... Elicar: I thought of that hool, but here's my front door, showing all its 80 years of age:
The automatic lock is unlocked by the door knob from the inside, the bolt is a separate key. Even with long slim hands, it would be difficult to do so. It would have been... Elicar:
This is the map of Yonge Street at Dundas Square. That's my walking buddy smiling at the camera to mark the end. jeeff: wow, i missed this one. what's the story? hool: for that amount of money, why not break the small glass panel in the door and have it replaced? definitely cheaper than a locksmith and/or emergency response fees.
