Train Crossing the Bike Trail

They (the trains) were here first I guess, and we wouldn't have the cool Bike Freeway without them web link And the spur for a local railroad splits off just outside of downtown and crosses over the bike trail. About twice a year I see them coming or going across the trail. Gotta get moving can't let it get to the crossing before me I'm not fast, he slowed WAY down to make the turn through the switch. I had to wait for these shots.

Tacoma Narrows Bridge #2

So everyone has seen the pictures of what happend to the first bridge across the Tacoma Narrows. web link They rebuilt that bridge and fixed the issue that caused it to buck wildly in the wind going in and out of the narrows. So as the population has exploded in the Seattle-Tacoma area the two lane bridge just won't cut it anymore so they are putting up a second bridge right next to the old one. We were going to Tacoma but got caught up in the detours and ended up going back and forth over the existing bridge twice...
