These black supremacists hang around Center City and make everyone super uncomfortable. While I disagree entirely with their belief that people of color are God's ONLY chosen people, they are definitely part of the urban fabric that makes this city what it is. Rather than get into a debate about religion or race or anything contentious, let's just OBSERVE these people.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG-_UYHyylY It is what it is. City noise.

Black Cowboy at 25th and Wharton. The Black Cowboys raise and tend to horses in deep inner-city neighborhoods, giving children the opportunity to claim a path out of the 'hood on horseback. State Troopers at 17th & Locust.

Trolley Tracks

author: serlingrod : Philadelphia, PA

image 28293
I think there's something really poetic in the way tracks interact throughout the city. Intersections where two lines cross create great steel curves and shapes, like unintended works of art. While there's lots of tracks in that are no longer frequented by their trolleys, the ones in these pictures (taken along Lancaster Ave. and Baltimore Ave.) are still in service. The only downside - getting stuck while biking!
