Lions move in prides, are very social and often hunt in pairs or more. The ladies do most of the hunting, but the boys have been seen on the hunt in the Kruger. The lion is not only the king of the beats because of his strength, his sexual prowess would be hard to match. He is capable of mating up to 40 times a day. The ladies often give birth at the same time and share suckling.
