Gone Downtown

Remember Raccoons, Cute or Dangerous? Well, a relative of these cuties have set up a penthouse downtown. I could not fathom how he could balance on that small branch sleeping. He was there all day. The first 5 pictures were taken at 11:00 AM and the last one was taken at 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, I have my crappy camera, so I could not zoom any closer.

Only in Toronto...

...can you leave your bike unlocked and unattended and still find it when you get back! Springing the clock forward and hence losing an hour sleep has left me feeling drained for the past two days. So, at 3:15 PM today, feeling too tired to comprehend what I was reading on my computer screen, I decided to go for a walk on Bay Street, the Wall Street north of the border. ##"Bay Street is home to numerous corporate headquarters, high-powered legal firms, insurance companies and stockbrokers. In turn, the presence of so many decision-makers has brought in advertising agencies and marketing...

These pictures were taken at the sane time as Eyes, but I thought, I'd put them together. These were taken at the back of Loblaw's, Victoria Park and Gerrard. These two were at the garbage chute. Here are the more interesting ones closer.. Hey look... I wonder what type of adult this child who played with this would be...

Panning Turned into Stalking

Determined that my Lumix will no longer gather any more layers of dust, I took it out of its hiding place and blew the dust layers away. I set myself out to learn the panning mode. Worried that passers-by and my neighbours would think I am crazy (I am, but that's beside the point!), I parked myself in the security of my front porch, behind the yet to be cleaned windows. It seemed so easy when I read the instructions. Yeah right. Of the 50 pictures I took, only this turned okay: And this is only after I went out...

A Glorious Morning in My Neighbourhood

These are pictures talken at the Glen Stewart Ravine and at the Beaches (just like the BCE, I am always at the Beaches. BCE is near work and the Beaches is near home!) For the those who are not familiar with Glen Stewart Ravine, it is located between Kingston Road and Queen Street East, and between Victoria Park and Main Street.

I said awhile back that Citynoise made me more aware of my surroundings.I had always been wondering where those graffiti's posted are coming from as I certainly haven't seen any in my daily travels. Then today, my day off, feeling antsy, I went out with no intention of taking pictures. Thank goodness I brought my camera along because this is what I found. I have passed this hundreds of times, it's only today that I noticed it. I guess it is obscured by vegetation most of the seasons. This is by Victoria Park, at the rail road tracks. I was...

The Looongest Street in the World

Yonge Street, March 30, 2006, 5:30 PM It's a good day to walk. The weather was lovely, so I did. I started at Front Street. The destination was Bloor Street where I would catch my train to take me home. That should take me 25-30 minutes to walk in my sensible, but definitely not a pair o walking shoes. 33 Yonge Street That's the BCE Place (again?) reflected. The Red Rocket at King Street Hongkong Shanghai Bank of Canada at Adelaide Street Canada Trust, right across Nearly got run over by a streetcar at Queen Street. Not really, but the picture was out of focus as I...
