The murals at Leslieville all have something in common: Graffiti Transformation Fund, Mural Program, Grant Thornton Centre. Both the Graffiti Transfomation and Mural Program fall under Neighbourhood Improvement Grants given by the City of Toronto. "Graffiti Transformation Employs youth for removing graffiti and replacing it with murals, through grants to community organizations. Walking Home

author: Elicar : Toronto, ON

I work downtown. I live in the Upper Beaches, 10 kilometers away. It is about 10 minutes by car, about 35 minutes by streetcar and about 40 minutes by bus and subway. It is at least 2 hours on foot. I have ventured on walking home lately. Sometimes, I am quite motivated; sometimes, I hop on the streetcar midway. Downtown, Corktown, Riverdale, Leslieville, The Beach, Upper Beaches. That's my route. My starting point; BCE Berczy Park Flatiron Building at Wellington and Front St. James Church on King Street East A manual water pump across the street Little York Hotel, built 1879-1880; a heritage building Parliament and King At...

Spotted at Victoria Park, between Kingston Road and Queen Street East, on my way to the Easter Parade. And this woman was screaming something from her window, right after the last float (Easter Bunny) passed by. The only word I caught was "LAKEFRONT." She watched the entire parade and said her piece at the end. She can be seen at the same window in some of the pictures in Toronto Beaches Lions 42nd Easter Parade.
