 Made my way down to the Telectroscope in Brooklyn the other day to see what its all about. The cam it self wasn't too great but it was still neat. People wrote funny messages to each other and spent most of the time trying to communicate with hand gestures.
Their message said "Thanks for Depeche Mode". Mine was "God Save The Queen" :)
Their website stated: An extraordinary optical device called a Telectroscope has been installed at both ends which miraculously allows people to see right through the Earth from London to New York and vice versa.

 View from rooftop in Venice Beach today.. Note the smokey sky. Most of that is coming from the Malibu fires. You can smell it in the air all the back to Hollywood and further I'm sure. Its not as bad as San Diego but its still pretty crazy.
