The fountain that sits opposite the arch, across the parkway from the library.
The archway at Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn's answer to Paris' the Arc de Triomphe, which was conceived as a memorial to the the northern Union ("Yankee") soldiers, the victors of America's Civil War.
