just a little nubbin of the paint can be seen as you speed up I5 through Tacoma. He was Deal's longtime best friend, and Deal said the funeral was packed for the "loving, charismatic" artist whose real name was Matthew Chom Jones. Admirers chipped in for a gravestone with one of Plus' pieces sandblasted into the dark marble surface. They also balanced on a ledge of one of the smaller Puyallup River bridges to paint an extra-wide "PLUS" in memorial silver.
