Two corners of the Bushwick Houses and their entrances. This article has been viewed 229 times in the last 6 days upfromflames: 11th May 2008 - 14:26 GMTRather than call them "bushwick houses" they are better known as Hope Gardens. And they make up what is the last housing project ever built in the United States. John Dereszewski: 13th May 2008 - 03:37 GMTI also don't understand this. Bushwick Houses is a large - and rather oppressive - complex situated at Flushing and Bushwick Aves. on the Williamsburg side of the border. As Adam notes, these are pictures of Hope Gardens, a much more community friendly development situated in the heart of Bushwick. Who at NYCHA had the brains to mis-title Hope Gardens, whose residents should really sue for libel. This whole thing doesn't make any sense. Peter: 13th May 2008 - 12:59 GMTthe signs said "bushwick houses", so... i assumed that thats what they were! i know the projects on flushing/bushwick aves, and these houses are definitely not the same, thats for sure...
