Palacio Nacional Da Pena
Sintra, Portugal - colavitos ghost - Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 : goo Forty-five minutes west of Lisbon lies Sintra; a UNESCO world heritage site for it's concentration of absurdly whimsical 19th century romantic architecture. The Palacio da Pena, completed in 1854, is Sintra's (and one of the world's) most flamboyant Romantic works.
This photo was taken from the italic textmiradouroitalic text from which the queen would contemplate the palace each evening. Truly the stuff of fairy-tales!
