kinda old and rough hewn tree in the park, can you spot the resident, if trees could talk what stories they could tell and this tree in particular has weathered many storms and going ons in that park.

i stayed in an apartment on tompkins square park when i went to new york for the first time. i got up crazy early because of the time difference and walked around. i saw a rat as big as a dog, with a crowd of new yorkers standing staring. my guess is that something has to be pretty bloody weird to make new yorkers stand and stare.
i also saw black squirrels which i had never seen before and didn't know existed. they reminded me of my cat.
the square was closed because they were 'cleaning it up' which i later heard was official speak for getting rid of rough sleepers. but i don't know first hand.
