Alberta Arts Corridor

- serlingrod - Thursday, December 27th, 2007 : goo

In rapidly-gentrifying Northeast Portland, Alberta Street serves as the barometer of what's occuring in the newly emerging local arts scene. The "Alberta Arts Corridor" runs approximately between NE 12th and NE 31st Aves, cutting through the traditionally African-American neighborhoods of King, Sabin, Vernon, and Concordia.

Love it! Especially the first shot, and Malcolm X.

Hehe, and I love the way they added a second page saying "friendly" under "found pitbull" As if anyone would find and keep an unfriendly one?

serlingrod: 28th Dec 2007 - 12:43 GMT

I also love how there's also a bunch of scribbled-out mistakes and tons of duct tape on the pitbull sign. It seemed like such an anomaly with everything else around it. Glad you liked the pics EvilGentleman.

i found a pit bull and it is still imbedded in in my neck.

Ten5: Good post! Great portrait of Alberta St.

Boiling Lake

As spring is beating down our doorstep, here is an image I took from the rooftop of my appartment building on a brutally cold January day. It was so cold it made the lake look like it was boiling.
