Anyone know what it is? This article has been viewed 1446 times in the last 20 months aer: 14th Sep 2007 - 11:08 GMTa very nice one too. a high school friend of mine had one and we lived in the land of pick-up trucks & muscle cars, so it was especially cool. anyway. very slick. CE: 14th Sep 2007 - 20:19 GMTFound two more today, each a couple blocks from my apartment on either side.
Peter: 14th Sep 2007 - 20:34 GMTnice! i spotted this one, not too long ago, parked on the uptown side of the west side warehouse building:
colavitos ghost: 15th Sep 2007 - 00:24 GMTum, it seems really weird that CE would encounter THREE of the exact same type of (RARE) car within two days in montreal. is there a story behind this? are these canadian cars? is there a car convention going on in montreal? Peter: 15th Sep 2007 - 14:28 GMTghias, just like about every other volkswagen model, were ubiquitous enough that its not surprising to see them around. ive seen a few this month in nyc, myself, but then again, im always keeping my eyes open for neat cars... CE: 15th Sep 2007 - 17:26 GMTThe first picture was actually taken around the end of August but the second and third were each taken yesterday within hours of eachother. I was really surprised to see them because the Wikipedia article says there are so few of them. I'm not really a car person so I'm generally not looking out for cars, I just took the first picture because I thought the car with the house and the lighting looked really good. Peter's enthusiasm caused me to take note of the car so I snapped the photos of the two I happened upon yesterday. Tyfoid Kid: 17th Sep 2007 - 01:42 GMTFolks might be getting in some last drives before they have to store them for the winter. Or the local Ghia club had a meeting that day. CE: 22nd Oct 2007 - 18:39 GMTI thought I spotted another one the other night in almost the same place as the last white one but after comparing the two pictures, I guess it's the same car but now has a large dent on the front fender. Ken Maki: 13th Apr 2008 - 14:13 GMTThey're Volkswagen Karmann Ghias, probabaly from the the 1960's. Comment on this articleBrowsing articles by CE - [previous] :: [next] |
