Verranzano Bridge from a deep sea fishing boat just off South Beach, Staten Island. More memories of summer. This article has been viewed 1065 times in the last 21 months jack: 5th Sep 2007 - 13:56 GMThah! i fished those waters back in the 50's, used to jump onto the rocks off of the belt and throw in my crab nets and then fish for porgies, before i left for the army i sailed right through there but no bridge and when i came home there it was, the bridge but no roadway, as we sailed underneath it we looked straight up through the bottom.
